2015 GENERAL ELECTIONS:
FACTUAL ANALYSES AND MY ENDORSEMENT (16)

Continued from Part 15

He seemed for dignity compos'd and high exploit: But all was false and hollow (John Milton)

Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools, that don't have brains enough to be honest (Benjamin Franklin)

If you look like a rabbit, and act like a rabbit, you will be treated like a rabbit -- prey for all predators (Stony Loft)

uhari's Chatham House speech was just inutile, while Buhari, himself, was just a bovarist, thereby succeeded in convincing nobody that he has what it takes to rule Nigeria. If Buhari wants to win the election, he needs to do more, by coming back home to speak to the Nigerian voters through the presidential debates. Speaking to a foreign audience is just a waste of energy, and the flight ticket that took him to London was a waste of money. The Chatham House speech was fictitious, apocryphal, and libelous, and was also non-tangential and tantamount to mere rhetoric. Who prepared such a speech "full of bones and no beef (devoid of substance)" for Buhari? Buhari should come down from the "mountain top", as Nigerians are waiting for him below, to hear his answers to their numerous questions. On the "Day of Judgment", London will not provide a cover for him. My people say that "the man who climbed up will surely come down one day". It was Chatham House that benefited from that enterprise, as its Bank Account has swollen from the fee APC paid for that forlorn speech. For those who watch the lecture, you must have noticed that Buhari was almost hitting the podium with his face trying to read what he scribbled down himself; his face was almost touching the paper in front of him, The Chatham House played out a script carefully written by Buhari and the APC by denying Nigerian Professionals in the United Kingdom entry to the lecture, so that nobody would ask the APC flagbearer pertinent questions about his health, certificate and his plans for Nigeria.

We were told that one of the reasons Buhari is in London is to solicit campaign funds after he ran out of funds due to the shift in dates of the general elections. Buhari and his Party never envisaged the postponement of the elections; and he was unable to raise more funds from the donors at home after his financial backers became skeptical of his chances of winning the general election. In London, Buhari asked some Arab billionaires for financial life-line, assuring them of juicy contracts as compensations, upon becoming the President of Nigeria.

I rarely agree with Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, the spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign organization, but I do on this one. Hear him:

"We wonder whether General Buhari told his foreign audience whilst he was in London how much he loves Boko Haram. We wonder whether he told his audience that he once said that he believed that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north and that the Boko Haram terrorists should be appeased, pampered, resettled and paid allowances. We wonder if he told them that he was once nominated by Boko Haram to be their spokesman and representative during proposed negotiations with the Federal Government. For now, all we can say is that it is truly pitiful that a former Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria believes that it is more important to win the hearts and minds of the British than it is to win the hearts and minds of the Nigerian people. General Buhari can run to any foreign country in the world to say anything that he likes but at the end of the day the decision as to who will lead Nigeria as from May 29th this year will be determined by no one else but the Nigerian people. The game is on here and not in London".

Joe Jideofor noted that "This arrogance of Buhari refusing to debate in Nigeria but Chatham House in London reminds me of the late Umaru Yar'Adua arrogantly refusing to tell 170 million Nigerians including his then Vice President of his health conditions and whereabouts only to arrogantly chose to speak to BBC of London. Chatham House is definitely smiling to the bank in this era of economic hardship in UK after collecting millions of Pounds of corrupt and stolen money from these APC fools who still think of British empire of 1960's.There was no single person from South East, South South and North Central in that hall and no mention of his certificate saga or his health concerns and what he will do with the decision of the National conference if he becomes president of Nigeria but only in their dreams how their own Nigerians have been craving for change". Okenwa wrote that "Some of us had expressed the view that the greatest booboo made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) was the choice of General Muhammadu Buhari to be its presidential candidate for the 2015 general elections. This viewpoint was, of course, rebuffed by some ardent APC protagonists as lately as only a month or so ago. But since then, the chicken have started coming home to roost and the Buhari fiasco is poised to take the newly configured opposition partisan formation down with it. To stem the inevitable, the APC inner circle has taken umbrage in a culture of secrecy, deceit and obfuscation. May it be said that this current gambit is simply a case of too little too late. As the saying goes, the horses have already left the barn. One shall never hear the end of this Chatham House/London hospital saga despite all the secrecy, deceit and obfuscation schemed to shroud them. Talk of someone shooting one's own very feet just like that. It is only going to be downhill for the Buhari presidential candidacy from now on. Ouch..!" Chioma wrote "While we are here, BUHARI is busy CAMPAIGNING and ENDORSING GEJ for 2015 presidency...

Hear him:

*** In April 2014, Nigeria overtook South Africa as Africa's largest economy.

**** Our GDP is now valued at $510 billion and

**** Our economy rated 26th in the world.

**** Also on the bright side, inflation has been kept at single digit for a while

**** And our economy has grown at an average of 7%

- Muhammadu Buhari @Chatham House (Feb 26th, 2015)

Grandpa Buhari didn't even realize that by his own admission, he just confirmed that President GEJ is doing great and has reformed the economy!!!"

In his lecture at Chatham House, Buhari mentioned corruption so many times as if he is above board himself. But Chris Udoh wrote "WHAT I HEARD FROM BUHARI.

Recently I just developed keen interest on Buhari's campaign manifesto. Two very important action items come from Buhari's mouth:

  1. Buhari says he will FIGHT CORRUPTION (maybe he meant to 'stop corruption')

  2. He will restore security in NORTH EAST (and entire Nigeria...by telling Boko Haram to stop killing innocent people)

This is like a Messiah descending from the Throne of grace in heaven. He has mentioned exactly what we need. But how is he going to fight corruption. Who is corrupt and who is not corrupt. If a sin is sin, do we have a lesser corruption and a higher corruption as separate entities of corruption? Or is it going to be a case of "my own corruption is not corrupt but their own is corrupt".

FIGHTING CORRUPTION.

i. BUHARI

  1. Amaechi takes Rivers State money, hand it over to Buhari and APC to run their campaigns and affairs - Is this corruption or not?

  2. Rivers State owns a private yet, and Buhari is using it for free to run his presidential campaign without paying Rivers State any rent - Is this corruption?

  3. Some years ago, $2.8b got missing under Buhari's Leadership and when a committee was set up by Shagari to investigate Buhari, he (Buhari) toppled Shagari's government with a coup - Is this corruption or not?

  4. Buhari made a decree and backdated it in order to murder 3 young Nigerians - Is this corruption or not?

  5. When Buhari was invited by Oputa panel, Buhari arrogantly refused to appear at that panel - Is this corruption or not?

  6. On his successful coup, Buhari jailed only the Southern governors and the Southern Vice President while those of northern extraction were let go for free - Is this corruption?

QUESTION: Will Buhari jail Buhari for corruption?

ii. TINUBU

Tinubu is like the godfather and the grandfather of APC, in fact he dictates what happens in APC. He is the owner of APC. When Tinubu sneezes in APC, everyone takes cover.

  1. Tinubu was a governor of Lagos State for 8 years; he used the opportunity to amass massive wealth for himself. In fact Tinubu own more than half of Lagos State - Is this corruption or not?

  2. Tinubu introduced thuggery (alaye boys) in Lagos and used them to exploit and to steal from people - Is this corruption or righteousness?

QUESTION: Will Buhari jail Tinubu?

iii. ROTIMI AMAECHI

  1. Amaechi was the speaker of Rivers State house of assembly for 8 years under Sir Dr Peter Odili. He used the opportunity to amass so much wealth that it almost cost him his governorship ambition, except, for the magnanimity of his friend in the supreme court - Is this corruption?

  2. Rivers state alone can boast of more than 3 trillion Naira that came in as resources in 8 years. Where is this money today? Even the account of the N1b monthly savings of Rivers state has been emptied for APC - Is this one corruption?

  3. Amaechi was formerly in PDP, 'the corrupt party' and probably became corrupt along with them. He then crossed over to APC still on PDP seat and suddenly became righteous - Is this corruption or what is its name?

QUESTION: Will Buhari give Amaechi to a firing squad?

IV ATIKU ABUBAKAR

Atiku was the Vice President of PDP for years. While being the VP, he had a Naira bank in his presidential villa. He owns Intel camp, the entire Onne port, 2 Universities, and he is well known by Nigerians as 'a thie....'. Today Atiku is in APC. Is he righteous now?

QUESTION: Will Buhari Jail Atiku?

V. PDP DEFECTEES

Because they did not have another future to keep looting, many worshipers from the 'PDP looting ministry' moved to APC to secure opportunity to keep looting Nigeria - Is this corruption or have they been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ or that of Mohammed once they crossed over to APC?

QUESTION: Will Buhari jail all PDP defectors who are now in APC?

ENDING BOKO HARAM

This is the only thing that I know Buhari is capable of doing, only if the boys have not outgrown their own Master.

Buhari is Boko Haram and Boko Haram is Buhari. Even if he wants to do it today, Buhari can end Boko Haram.

But how do we deal with the blood of those that Boko Haram has brutally murdered? Do we now compensate Buhari with presidency so that he can stop killing Nigerians with Boko Haram?

ATTROCITIES & FORGERY

All those associated with APC are out for one atrocity, forgery or the other. They sponsor workers' strikes, blame the military for fighting Boko Haram, stopped budget approval with its attendance far reaching complications on the economy, they promise to make Nigeria ungovernable and act it to the letter, they say they will run a parallel government when they lose in February 14 and they mean it! Just look at common internet poll that we conducted by AIT. They had to hack the system in order to give Buhari votes. What kind of humans are these?

Let people who do not understand the importance of their minds and brains cast their votes for Buhari so that he can fight corruption and end Boko Haram insecurity in North East".

This column salutes President Shehu Shagari on his 90th Birthday and wishes him many more years ahead. While his colleagues were felicitating with Shagari, Buhari ran away to London, looking for a foreign audience to address, when his fellow country men and women are yearning to hear him speak and to answer their questions. Maybe, Buhari will go and rule in United Kingdom!
