By Rasheed SobowaleHealthcare stakeholders from across the continent will gather in Lagos for the inaugural H-LEMP Africa Conference 2026, an initiative focused on strengthening healthcare leadership, management, and innovation across Africa.
Organised by Harley & Wall Business & Healthcare Consulting International, the summit is scheduled for October 29, 2026, at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, and will be preceded by a masterclass workshop on October 28.
The event aims to address critical gaps in the African health sector beyond clinical care, focusing on administrative management, sustainable institution-building, governance, and health economics. Attendees will include chief medical directors, hospital executives, policymakers, investors, and medical professionals.
Key thematic areas for the conference include health sector governance, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, financing models, and operational efficiency.
Organisations and institutions backing the initiative include Providus Bank, Unity Bank, St. Ives Hospital, MIVA University, Leadway HMO, Lifeworth HMO, Loveworld Medical Center, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and the Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners (ANPMP), alongside various public sector leaders and healthcare groups.
According to the organizers, the framework rests on four key pillars: leadership excellence, entrepreneurship, management capacity, and sustainable system development. The platform aims to expand on previous regional training programs to foster broader cross-border collaborations across the continent.
