By Hadiza Musa

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have raided a criminal hideout in Golgokofa village under Godogodo Chiefdom in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, arresting three suspected notorious gunrunners and recovering arms, ammunition, and motorcycles.

The development was contained in a post by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his official X handle on Friday, where he detailed the operation and items recovered.

The successful operation, conducted on May 8, followed credible intelligence that led troops to the hideout of the suspected arms dealers.

According to Makama, the suspects arrested include Adamu Musa (65 years old), Lukman Isah (35), and Umar Jammo (25).

Items recovered during the raid include:

One AK-47 rifle, one fabricated gun, one AK-47 magazine, a round of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, three motorcycles.

Makama added that the suspects are currently in custody and have begun making useful confessions that could lead to the arrest of additional accomplices and recovery of more illegal weapons.

Operation Safe Haven reiterated its commitment to working with the public and leveraging actionable intelligence to rid the region of criminal networks and ensure safety across communities in Kaduna and beyond.
