Several persons, including a local vigilante commander, were killed when bandits attacked Danzangi community in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The attack, which occurred on Friday night, left residents in mourning and heightened concerns over rising insecurity in the area.

According to a post on Saturday by security analyst Bakastine via X, the slain commander, popularly known as Oga Ali, was among those gunned down during the invasion.

Bakastine warned that unless urgent security measures are implemented, the Dutsin-Ma–Katsina highway may soon become impassable due to increasing criminal activities.
