Mohbad: ‘I have been pencilled down for assassination’ – Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, goes into hiding

By Rachel Okporu Fadoju

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has alleged he has been pencilled down for assassination over the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Nigerian singer, Mohbad.

Naija News reports that the filmmaker who had been calling for protest and demanding justice over the death of Mohbad claimed there were plans to kill him.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Yomi said he failed to attend Mohbad’s Coroner court on Monday due to the alleged assassination attempt on his life.

The thespian said he had reported the issue to the Nigerian police and pleaded that nothing must happen to his sources and everyone seeking justice for Mohbad.

According to Yomi, his death will cause a severe distraction on Mohbad’s cause and possibly stall it.

Yomi said he is currently out of Nigeria for his safety, adding that he did not receive any financial inducement in the call for justice.
