Video: French band performs PSquare’s “Taste the Money” in honour of Tinubu

A French band delighted attendees at a state dinner in Paris by delivering a lively performance of PSquare’s hit song “Testimony (Taste the Money)” in tribute to Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The dinner, held at the prestigious Palais de l’Élysée, was a eye-catching moment in President Tinubu’s three-day official visit to France, aimed at deepening diplomatic ties and bolstering economic cooperation between the two nations.

In a now-viral video capturing the evening’s highlight, the band gave a spirited rendition of the Afrobeat classic, infusing the track with a unique French twist while preserving its infectious Nigerian rhythms.

The crowd responded enthusiastically, with President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu visibly moved by the thoughtful cultural homage.

Adding to the celebration of Nigerian artistry, the French band also performed “Mama Africa” by Bracket, further showcasing the global appeal of Nigerian music.
