AN UNMISTAKABLE CASE OF CHILD ABUSE!

igeria is a landscape dotted with both notorious and obscure offenders, all of whom must be excised from the fabric of our society. These mentally deranged criminals abound in all Nigerian sociopolitical and religious strata. In this somewhat chaotic environment, every resident appears to be a player and enabler on a distorted animal farm.

With all due respect to the animal kingdom, such treatment is utterly unacceptable. Not long ago, an infamous pastor struck a young parishioner, a minor lost in a delusion, proclaiming her possessed for Jesus within the confines of her pastor-abuser's sprawling church. The most appalling part was the deliberate indifference of the abuser's congregants. The manipulative pastor went scot-free! As expected, social media erupted, echoing cries for justice for the young girl. As the Yorùbá saying goes: (À l? la rí, a ò rí àb?` r?`). While we heard about the 'departure,' we witnessed no 'return.'

Once again, an outrageous incident reminiscent of the pastor's animal farm occurred in a primary school in Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. A malevolent teacher callously struck a defenseless student, another innocent minor. Justice intervened when a courageous bystander secretly captured her heinous offense on video. Kudos to the Lagos State government, who ordered the prompt arrest of the mindless and mean teacher.

The recording of this shocking brutality has gone viral and feels unbearable to revisit or watch twice. Countless similar abuses indeed unfold daily, hidden from public view. We cannot allow these helpless, innocent children to remain in the clutches of those sociopaths and narcissists masquerading as human beings.

Reports indicate that the state police have taken the wicked educator into custody. The violator-educator must be prosecuted and sentenced to prison terms to serve as a deterrent to other potential child molesters. It will be horrifying, demeaning, and criminal to let this perpetrator roam free, as has happened in the past. Justice must rain down to ward off further predators lurking around Nigeria's vulnerable youth.
