Continued from Part 1
he true men and women of God (true preachers of God), whether Christian or Muslim clerics, are those serving the real God, and for that, they have been empowered with authority and power to overcome the world and the enemy - they have the power and authority to pray for the sick; to cast out demons; and to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the glory of God, and not that of man, as the Bible, in Mark 16:17-18, says "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
The real men and women of God are those who are walking the talk - doers of the Word, like the Bible, in Galatians 5:25, says, "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Jesus said, in John 8:31-32, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." And the Quran advises "Lo, this is My Straight Path, so follow it and do not follow other ways or else you will diverge from His way (Qur'an 6:153)"
For the real men and women of God, Obedience to the will and word of God is paramount, and that is what the Bible, in John 14:15, admonishes, when it says "If you love Me, keep My commandments". The fake religious leaders claim to love God, but yet, they live contrary to His word, and the Bible, in Luke 6:46, asks the fake ones "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?"
The real men and women of God (true religious leaders) are those who are not careless with keeping their word. They display the highest level of integrity and purity. They live by example and do not teach others how to be faithful and hold fast to the scripture while doing other things. They're those who model integrity in thought, word, and deed, unlike the fake ones who're hypocrites, because they preach morality and fail to live it. Of course, the true religious leaders are those who are resisting the idea of "leadership from the rear.", because for them, true leadership is always from the front.
The real religious leaders are the ones who have chosen to follow God, and have forsaken the world, just as the Bible, in Romans 12:2, tells us "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Suffice it to say that the real men and women of God are those who imitate God, just as the Bible, in Ephesians 5:1, asks us to "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children." They apply God's eternal wisdom to their daily lives. The Quran also says "that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for His having guided you… (Surah Baqarah 2:185)".
Unlike the fake religious leaders who look to worldly people, such as Hollywood actors or politicians, as role models, the real men and women of God have Jesus or Prophet Mohammed as their own role model - the life that Jesus or Prophet Mohammed lived is the life that these chosen few are following and imitating. A true man or woman of God display the values and character of God, in words and deed - do not conform to world standards, because the world's values, systems, and priorities are totally contrary to those of God, and they allow God's ways and teachings to lead them.
Unlike the fakes ones , who as hypocrites - who do not practice what they preach or profess to believe in, who have allowed the values and philosophies of the world to influence their decisions, their lifestyles, and character, who are living to impress human beings, and are more interested or more focused on being glorified and adored by men rather than focusing on glorifying God; the real men and women of God are those religious leaders who're not living to impress anybody, not even him or herself, but God, even if it means being persecuted for living for God. Their words and deeds acknowledge the goodness and love of God, and for that God is being glorified.
The real men and women of God, just like every other human being with flesh and blood, also make mistakes or have failures, and Oswald Sanders added that a true leader steps forward in order to face baffling circumstances and complex problems. And how he or she goes about it makes the difference. If you would rather pick a fight than solve a problem, you are not a true religious leader. A real man or woman of God must be genial, gentle, and must not be a lover of controversy. Most true men and women of God are always calm in a crisis and resilient in disappointment, and they know there is a difference between conviction and stubbornness.
True religious leaders are those who have learned that no failure is final, whether his own failure or someone else's. No one is perfect, and we cannot be right all the time. The difference is that failures and even feelings of inadequacy provoke humility, and serve to remind a true religious leader who is really in charge (God), unlike the fake ones who put their trust somewhere else. The sons and daughters of men who put their trust under the shadow of the wings of God always have abundant good things to testify about, because God shows them immeasurable love and kindness all the time.
Let me conclude by encouraging all the true Christian or Muslim religious leaders (the real men and women of God out there, who are not debased by evil): Do not be swayed, frustrated or distracted by the morally wrong and evil ways of your fake colleagues. Remain the best you can be. The Bible, in Hebrews 10:35-36, implores that "So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." God is seeing and appreciating your endeavor, and will meet all your needs (Philippians 4:19). The Bible, in Matthew 6:32, reminds you "For the pagans strive after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them".
For not keeping your good work to yourself, many have been blessed for it. The Quran also acknowledges you, when it tells its believers "These are they whom Allah guided, therefore follow their guidance. (Surah Anam 6:90)". Don't give up; find encouragement to push through the hard times. Even if Satan is running amok around you, thrown down the gauntlet to him, and I'm sure the God you're serving will continue to fortify you for the battle, and victory will be yours. The Bible, in Psalm 1:1-3, notes that "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither - whatever they do prospers".
For not doing things the way the world does, but, for behaving the way God, your Heavenly Father, wants, God will continue to bless you and your ministry. The Bible, in Colossians 3:23-24, also encourages that "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving" and Tim Tebow added. "Remember that whatever you do, your main audience is God, not others. That's why in Colossians, Apostle Paul reminds us to put our whole heart into everything we do, with God's purposes in mind. We're called to live life for God's glory".
For helping others, you are a real hero, and God values the real heroes most because they help others. Your prayers, for true Christian or Muslim religious leader, always should be that God will continue to fill you with the power of the Holy Spirit on the inside so that you can persevere on the outside. Continue to be a blessing to others, and God will continue to protect you, for He promises, as your heavenly Father, not to let anything bad happen to you. And here, the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 2:9, says, "However, as it is written: 'What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived' - the things God has prepared for those who love him." The Quran also promises (its true clerics) "And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, we will most certainly guide them in Our ways, and Allah is most certainly with the doers of good. (Surah Ankabut 29:69)".
There's reward for your effort; God will never forsake you, just as the Bible, in Philippians 1:6, reassures, by saying "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus". Using the words of the Bible, in Ruth 2:12, I end this piece by saying: "May the LORD repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."
And for the real Islamic clerics, the Koran says you "are those whom Allah has blessed among the prophets and the verifiers, the martyrs and the righteous. (Qur'an 4:69)", and, it promises further that "whoever follows My guidance, he shall not go astray nor be unhappy" (Surah Taha 20:123)
