DEAL WITH IT!

n the summer of 1986, two ships collided in the Black Sea off the coast of Russia. Hundreds of passengers died as they were hurled into the icy waters below. News of the disaster was further darkened when an investigation revealed the cause of the accident. It wasn't a technology problem like radar malfunction-or even thick fog. The cause was human stubbornness. Each captain was aware of the other ship's presence nearby. Both could have steered clear, but according to news reports, neither captain wanted to give way to the other. Each was too proud to yield first. By the time they came to their senses, it was too late.

Pride is a gateway to destruction. Stubbornness blinds the eyes of people even when they are heading into malady. A lot of lives would have been saved if only one of the conflicting partners ate the 'humble pie.' Wars would have been averted if one of the warring nations had come down from her high horse. Some marriages would have been salvaged if only one of the partners had owned up to his or her fault. You may be able to save a life or perhaps save your marriage just by simply stepping away from provocation.

Pride is a spirit and so is anger. A man that is controlled by anger lives in perpetual danger of himself and others. At the height of rage, that person could do the unthinkable and by the time he comes to his senses, the damage would have been done. Are you often blinded by rage and you lose your cool at the slightest provocation? Watch it; you may be slowly digging your grave. Don't manage pride, Deal with it! Don't manage anger, Deal with it! These are time -bombs that could explode right in your face if not dealt with. If you are facing this challenge, please don't ignore or sweep it under the carpet. Ask for grace to deal with it. Think about it. God bless you big.
