od cannot lower His standards. That others (no matter how great they are in ministry) have lowered their standards to accommodate the changing times in the world does not mean God has lowered His. The story is told of a man who rushed into a suburban railroad station one morning and, almost breathlessly, asked the ticket agent: "When does the 8:01 train leave?"

"At 8:01," was the answer.

"Well," the man replied, "my watch says it's 7:59, the town clock says it's 7:57, but the station clock says it's 8:04. Which clock am I to go by?"

"You can go by any clock you wish," said the agent, "but you cannot go by the 8:01 train. It's already left."

He had missed his train by "that much" because he didn't pay attention to the right standard.

If you are governed by the wrong standards, you will 'miss the train.' Let God's Word be your guide. It's got the 'accurate time.' I encourage you to flee from anything that will pollute your soul no matter how well garnished those things are. Let us stand for the truth. Hold on to righteousness even if you are the only one standing. It will not be a funny scene if you don't 'catch the final train.'

This is not the time for fanfare. Heaven is mourning! The decadence that has pervaded the world makes heaven to mourn. This is not the time for the church to celebrate. What is there to celebrate, when churches that should be Sanctuaries have become Mortuaries, packed-full with 'dead bodies,' living-dead sinners, perishing and hell-bound in their droves.

Really, what is there to celebrate with brazen, gross darkness, the thickest of it ever known seemingly almost swallowing up believers in this untoward generation?

Why should our Lord and Master, Christ Jesus be sad, while we are any glad?

In a moment, in a blink of an eye, it will not matter anymore, all that matters to us; all that we celebrate or are celebrating will no longer be the matter! Not even our many achievements and awards, the amount of money we have in the bank or how much we are worth will matter anymore.

In that moment, in that twinkle of an eye, what will matter will be the heart of the matter, and that is the heartbeat of God Almighty... Souls saved, rescued from a lost eternity! Unsaved souls for whom Christ suffered, bled and died in inexplicable anguish. That is the heartbeat, even more now, the heart cry of the Lord.

Heaven weeps and my heart bleeds! God needs bleeding hearts, and crying eyes that will weep and intercede and show the world the way to heaven. Who will dry Heaven's tears?

What if that moment, that twinkle of an eye happens right now?

May the Lord rubble down our hard hearts, and melt our steel hearts with passion for souls, who are at the mercy of the unquenchable and everlasting hellfire
