TIME TO TAKE THE SOCCER WORLD BY STORM! (10) THE PLAYERS: THE ATTACKERS

Continued from Part 9

he importance of a very good offensive line in a team cannot be over emphasized. The attackers are usually counted on to make hay; score the much needed goals! Over the years, Nigeria, has not been lacking in quality attackers. Luckily this set of Super Eagles, are by no means thin in this very vital department! They scored a total of 12 goals during the last World cup qualifiers; averaging two goals a match; against some of the best African teams! This certainly bears credence to their offensive prowess. One hopes and prays the Super Eagles' attackers continue to find their way to the net at "Russia 2018".

As is customary, yours sincerely will use this medium to celebrate our attackers of yore, who helped score the vital goals, or contributed to the goals that gave Nigeria victory, by remembering them. One remembers :

They were all great players who did well for Nigeria.

It's our fervent wish and expectations that the present Super Eagles' attackers will continue in their stead, more especially at "Russia 2018!"
