hen jailed Olusegun Obasanjo was brought back to power by his military juniors in 1999, after many of us had put our lives on the line to rescue Nigeria from the abyss and brink, I knew this most abused, battered and benighted nation was back again to another phase of arrested development. I knew my time was up in my native Nigeria and so it was time to get out of dodge. All those sacrifices, toils and sweat to see the back of dictatorship were a waste. Only a soulless being would stay put in Nigeria to continue the charade going on in that nation, even to now. The despicable dyads of Obasanjo and Babangida who, unbeknownst to Nigerians are CIA agents are the same characters that poor and ignorant Nigerians refer to as statesmen. These are errand boys and do-gooders of Western capitalist interests not only in Nigeria, but in sub- African and the Continent at large. In high intelligence circles in the West, their coded names could be surmised simply as useful idiots and marionettes of imperialists and neo-colonial masters in the continued pauperization and despoliations of Africans . Consequently, when Obasanjo set up that body known as the Oputa Panel and they reached out to me here in the United States, I shunned the panel. Nigerians are still not ready for serious national development even to now, but the same perennial politicking without governance going on quarter century of de-militarization and so-called return to participatory democracy.
There are three judgments awaiting all human beings in this earthly life and in the afterlife; including Obasanjo, Babangida and their rest ilk undermining Nigeria's development. The first judgment is the judgment seat of conscience (Romans 2: 15 & I John 3:20-24). The second is man's law or secular judgment which those who contravene and violate laws promulgated by governments such as murderers, rapists, perpetrators of official larceny or corruption and argosies of crimes against the state (Romans 13:1 & I Peter 3:17) must appear to answer to these charges. The last and final judgment that all human beings, whatever your religion, creed, gender, race, etc. is the certainty of appearing before our Lord, Master and Savior Jesus Christ to give account of all your activities while here on earth according to 2 Corinthians 5:10: "For we must appear before the judgment seat of Lord Jesus Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he or she has done in the body, whether good or evil."
Sani Abacha, MKO Abiola, Kudirat Abiola, Maryam Babangida, Stella Obasanjo and billions of humans from the time of the fall of Adam and Eve to now have gone and are waiting for the last and final judgment of our Lord Jesus Christ. Obasanjo, Gowon, Abubakar, Babangida, including this writer and all that are reading this anywhere on earth will keep a date at the Judgment Seat of our Lord, Master and Savior Jesus Christ. You can wish it away, dispute or argue hoarse over this inevitability and may not believe this eternal truth, but it doesn't change the Truth. The True Lord God Almighty Who set up His System doesn't need your faith and belief in His Truth but owes You His Love to warn you of the Day of Accountability, period.
It is against this eternal backdrop we continue our comments and expose on that nonsense written by -was it ghost-written-for him-known as "Journey In (Dis) Service" by Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida. Little men who exhibit external valor are liars to their teeth. They like to cheat fellow human beings, cheat history and even attempt to cheat Nature if it were possible, but Death is inevitable. Because they know that they too will also end up six feet below and assuredly suffer the same fate as lesser mortals, their sehnsucht always is to convolute and distort their earthly journeys and the true state of their stewardships to their immediate families, neighborhoods, localities and nations. But the Almighty God is not God of Favoritism and so He will judge all human beings through His Son Jesus Christ Who will decide where each of us will spend eternity: hell or heaven. The reason I shunned the Oputa Panel in 1999 was that the body did not have teeth and so could not bite. If a certified criminal like Ibrahim Babangida, a murderer and thief could not be compelled to appear before the panel even when Obasanjo, the usual chameleon appeared to at least give a veneer of legitimacy to the panel but was powerless to make Babangida appear too, then the whole thing was a charade. And I was proved right eventually as none of the recommendations of the commission was ever implemented because it is part of the knavery dominating governance in Nigeria.
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has appeared in the first judgment seat of conscience but has failed woefully because "
he is a hypocritical liar, whose conscience has been seared as with a hot iron" (I Timothy 4:2). Only a conscienceless character would order the murder of a childhood friend who first gave your wife her first car and who was your best man on your wedding day. Only a heartless being would hate his classmate who was always watching your back as Mama Jiya Vatsa did while both of you were in secondary school at Bida. The only beef you had with him was because he advised Buhari to retire you in 1985 after intelligence reports reached the top echelons of the then military command that Maryam Babangida, your late wife was a drug baron recruiting young Nigerians as cocaine pushers to the embarrassment of the nation in the comity of nations. It was Buhari's tergiversation that led to Babangida's coup of August 25/26, 1985. Only a soulless man like Babangida would not disclose the $10m -Ten Million Dollars- he and his co- coup plotters collected from Chief MKO Abiola in cash in 1985 at his palatial mansion at MKO Abiola Crescent, off Toyin Street Ikeja Lagos to stage his coup of survival during the Sallah Celebration of 1985 in his hagiographical biography. This little man and demented soul who projects strength and bravado failed to tell the truth to fellow Nigerians in his so-called biography that he was sorely afraid his coup would fail if Gen. Tunde Idiagbon as chief of staff supreme headquarters was in the country so had to send his fellow plotters to Olusegun Obasanjo at his lair at Otta Farm in the wee hours to convince Tunde Idiagbon to embark on Umrah or Lesser Hajj in summer 1985 to avoid bloodshed. This soullessly rebarbative fellow was so inebriated with power that he ordered the murder of a defenseless man, Dele Giwa via a parcel bomb and has been casual and dismissive about this heinous crime. Real men and genuine strong men don't kill writers, literati, eggheads and murder journalists and wordsmiths; only tyrants, philistine minds and bullies do and Babangida is one of these misbegotten souls. Since he is afraid to chronicle all these atrocities in his so-called autobiography, Journey in Service is otiose to present and coming generations.
Obasanjo, Babangida and Abubakar: These are the Three Demonic Magi responsible for the state of arrested development in Nigeria for nearly 40 years. Unless they are totally and completely wiped out including their ilk, Nigeria will continually be in an enigma of growth without development

It will take the instrumentality of the state to force this felonious murderer to appear at the second judgment seat of secular law because it was the machinery of state he used to commit his egregious crimes between 1985 and 1993. I am flummoxed that Bola Tinubu has not moved against Babangida or Obasanjo; the two troublers and murderers of Nigeria. Maybe Tinubu will make his move in his second term but I am not optimistic of this because of his presence at the so-called launching of that piece of trash called an autobiography. But now that fiery Femi Falana has announced he is about to take Babangida to court, I will gladly appear in Nigeria to confront Babangida at the judgment seat of the law. There is no statute of limitations on the crimes that Babangida committed on defenseless Nigerians during his eight atrocious years in office. I plead with my friend and brother Falana to include me as an interested party in the coming law suit, because if we wait on Tinubu post 2027, the Judgment Seat of the Divine may snatch Ibrahim Babangida from us and Nigerians will be denied of earthly justice. The man with nil-bravura before morphing into a barracuda in office continues to torment the nervous system of few fine characters and people of honor because morality has taken flight in this clime "
and men love darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil" (John3:19).
In this judgment seat of the law which my late lawyer Chief Gani Fawehinmi of blessed memory unsuccessfully pursued, perhaps 25 years into this wobbly guided democracy, majority of Nigerians can hear the behind-the-scene stories and truth Babangida lied about, elided and cowardly avoided in his whitewashed piece being passed as an autobiography. If the Tinubu administration isn't business as usual and certainly the president doesn't want to be an accessory to the crimes committed by this evil man-his presence at that so-called autobiographical cavalcade is credence to this-he shouldn't stop the Nigerian Judiciary from allowing Falana to prosecute Ibrahim Babangida to the full extent of the law. It has happened elsewhere. In Chile, all the military generals that visited horrendous misery and gross human rights violations on the citizens during the ignominious reign of Augusto Pinochet in the 1970s/1980s were later arrested and prosecuted. More than 20 years after his reign of torture, Pinochet himself was later arrested for genocide and terrorism and murder. The murderous gangsters in military uniform that misgoverned Argentina for 25 years in the 20th Century and styled themselves president just as Babangida did in 1985-1993 did not go unpunished after they left office. Many of them were later arrested and prosecuted. Some were sentenced to various forms of imprisonments ranging from 4 to 10 years. Notorious generals like Emilo Eduardo Massera and Jorge Rafael Videla got life imprisonment for their misrule, economic mismanagement and gross human rights abuses. In Panama, self-styled military strongman and dictator, Manuel Antonio Noriega from 1983 to 1989 did not go unscathed. A notorious drug lord and tyrant like Babangida according to the CIA; Noriega was arrested and forcibly brought to the United States for trial and prosecution. He died in a Miami Prison in 2017 at 83 years of age. In nearby Rwanda, the military gangsters that perpetrated the genocide of 1994 did not go unpunished and trials are still ongoing even 30 years after their heinous crimes. You cannot yearn for reconciliation when victims of crimes and evil have not repented and admit the wrongs they committed. Indeed, the generality of Nigerians would like to see this man known as Ibrahim Babangida completely disappear or eremite from public space instead of re-fouling the Nigerian space with his latest hagiography.
If Barrister Femi Falana (SAN) can set the legal process in motion to compel Babangida to account for his crimes against the Nigerian state and his victims, I-Dr Moshood Ademola Fayemiwo-is willing and ready to come to Nigeria with cornucopia information in the cause celebre. I shunned the Oputa Panel of 1999 because I knew it was a charade and it turned out to be true as none of its recommendation was ever implemented by the duplicitous Obasanjo regime.

Now that he has shown his shit-face in public, Falana's "subpoena duces tecum" will enable victims of Babangida's misrule to confront the evil man on his human rights violations, gross abuse of military power, crimes against the state, economic profligacy and the mother of them all: the criminal voiding of the June 12, 1993 presidential election which he has now admitted was the freest and fairest and won squarely and indubitably by late MKO Abiola. Nigerians will hear for the first time how Babangida and his kinsman-in-crime, Abubakar Abdusalam sat in a nondescript Peugeot 504 automobile at a farm in Minna to plot the deaths of Abacha and Abiola when Abubakar Abdusalam ran to him to tell him he-Abubakar Abdulsalam- was planning to tender his letter of resignation to Abacha and Babangida prevailed on him as he and the cabal were working behind-the-scenes to push both Abacha and Abiola. We shall present highly classified intelligence report brought to Babangida in Minna by late Brig Gen Ibrahim Sabo, then DG of DMI that revealed Sani Abacha's plan to order the arrest of Babangida, the retirement of Gen. Abubakar Abdulsalam and the dethronement of them Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero (1930-2014) on October 1, 1999. This court trial will let Nigerians know how the CIA orchestrated the smuggling back of Olusegun Obasanjo to power while in prison and the billions of Dollars Obasanjo received at the World Bank through late Robert McNamara to influence the 1999 presidential election in Nigeria. I disclosed in past column articles and elsewhere that the genesis of the poor state of the Nigerian Naira and economic miasma Nigerians are currently going through were majorly caused by Olusegun Obasanjo. The devaluation of the Nigerian Naira and other economic crimes were the conditions the World Bank gave him before they gave him the money he used to prosecute the 1999 presidential election. These aspects of Nigeria's sordid past under the evil trios of Obasanjo, Babangida and Abdulsalam need to be vigorously interrogated for any meaningful development and progress in this nation. Colonialism and neo-colonialism are still at work in full gear and full throttle in Africa, especially in Nigeria even in the New Millennium, but this time under disguised hues. There are many more in both criminal and court of public opinion that can send these high profile military criminals to the slammer like their misbegotten forbears in Chile, Argentina, Panama, Rwanda and The Philippines
Finally, if all fails and Babangida is able to cheat on these two judgment seats, the Ultimate Divine Judgment Seat of the True Lord Almighty through our Lord, Master and Savior Jesus Crist beckons. Not only for Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, but for me, you and indeed all members of the human race down the Street of Time. This is the final Divine Comeuppance that awaits us all on the Other Side of the Eternal Divide.

While the dust is yet to settle and more are coming up on the allegation of sexual harassment leveled against Godswill Akpabio by Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is capturing national and international headlines, it's a pity that Florence Ita-Giwa of all persons should weigh in. Ita-Giwa, many young Nigerians especially the millennial and their Generation Z counterparts may not know was the wife of the late founding editor-in-chief, Newswatch Mr. Dele Giwa murdered by former military dictator, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. She was the principal witness to the murder of her husband when Babangida's murderous killers at the Directorate of Military Intelligence-DMI-Apapa Lagos where I was kept in solitary confinement by that brute known as Sani Abacha. The DMI under Aliyu Muhammad Gasua did not know the private residence of late Dele Giwa in Lagos because Dele Giwa as former editor of Sunday Concord newspapers owned by late Chief MKO Abiola was residing at Adolphus Davis Street as his official residence, but had moved to Opebi, Ikeja in north Lagos upon leaving Concord and establishing Newswatch. These killers of Babangida were so unprofessional that they couldn't locate the new residence of Mr. Giwa so they called the couturier Florence Ita-Giwa at her boutique shop on Awolowo Road Ikoyi to ask for directions to Giwa's new residence at Opebi. This daughter of Jezebel naively drew a map of Giwa's house on a sheet of paper and sent it to Gashua who told her the reason they wanted to contact her ex-husband was that the then head of State, Babangida had a "gift" for Giwa. That "gift" was the parcel bomb that snuffed the life out of that fine and brilliant young man.
Florence Ita-Giwa is a certified prostitute and all the useless men in the corrupt Nigerian upper echelons of political knavery have all slept with her. As the vicinal press refer to her as "Mama. Bakassi," her notoriety in using her derriere a la Nigeria to corner government contracts and even becoming a senator are all parts of the culture of Sodom and Gomorrah in Nigeria. These morally-debased characters hapless Nigerians look up to as leaders take turns to sleep with her even inside Aso Rock according to Revelation 17:1-5: "Then one of the seven angels with the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and those who dwell on the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her immorality." And the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, where I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls. She held in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. And on her forehead a mysterious name was written: BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
Florence Ita-Giwa is the least qualified to talk down on Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan about sexual harassment. This Jezebel daughter is the epitome of debauchery in Nigeria's political Sodom and Gomorrah and I challenge her to sue me for libel and defamation so we can take her to the cleaners.

But in those eras, we were confident of the newsworthiness in circulation. How come the extant Old Media known as newspapers couldn't get it right that ex-Gov. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel was invited by the anti-graft body known as EFCC in Abuja and left home the same day? When does a petition by a group of attention-seekers concocting imaginary figures said to have been stolen in Akwa Ibom State become and translate into invitation and detention? Even some publications we used to respect fell for the fake news. A call to EFCC to confirm the invitation which is routine and chew-chat would confirm that His Excellency, Gov. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, ex-governor of the State of Akwa Ibom was back to his house in Ikoyi, Lagos. In its usual herd mentality, such fake news is sensationalized for maximum effects and men of high reputation, integrity and character are tarred. This is unfortunate! We know where this is coming from and it's all about 2027. When will Nigerian leaders really and seriously govern and attend to business of nation building and development instead of perennial politicking? This is sad and the poor people of Nigeria suffer and are the worst for it. This is why decent and honest men do not want to participate in this dirty and dysig Nigerian politics. This is why I disclosed in this column and elsewhere that no genuine and thoroughly-converted born-again Christian will venture into participating in Nigerian politics. The commandment of our Lord, Master and Savior Jesus Christ still rings loud and clear to His Own today via the apostle He loved: "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever" (I John 2:15-17).

You need to change and renew your mind with the Words of God which are contained in the Greatest Book on earth given to humanity as a compass to navigate our paths in this Satanically-controlled and demon-infested earth following the fall of our First Parents in the Garden of Eden. That Book is the Holy Bible. The three basic reason for this is that the secular education has been totally corrupted by Satan hence, the Holy Spirit commanded us in Romans 12: 2:" Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing, and perfect will." You can't discover His Will for your life now that you are one of His Own until you read His Word. Second, there is a spiritual war afoot and in the not-too-distant Time Street over your life now that you are a child of the King. Satan and his demons, including their human agents will fight to bring you back to their cursed and darkened kingdom. You need to know how to fight through the deployment of the Word of God, because from now onward, "
our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Thirdly, you need the Word of God for good success according to Joshua 1:8: "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
