igeria is crumbling under the weight of its contradictions. The worst part of the dystopia, which Nigeria has become is that both the people and leaders continue to see the solution in the very thing that sowed the seed of it current destruction and decay.

The hypocrisy of the divisive collective altruistic philosophy, which justifies the sacrifice of someone or people for the benefit of others, promoted by its dominant religions Christianity and Islam, continues to water the seeds of destruction of Nigeria.

Even worse is the fact that these religions have been weaponised in the attempt by the leaders to hold on to political power. They hide their dishonesty, greed and wickedness, in sanctimonious attitude.

By reinterpreting religious orthodoxy to justify their lust for power, avarice, and lack of moral control, religious and political leaders have created a population, who see in the unearned through miracles and magical thinking, the solution to their problems. This has destroyed the foundation of ethics in the country.

Therefore, men in Nigeria , driven by the philosophy of the end justifies the means look for miracles and break throughs, through prayer sacrifice and fasting, instead of by means of study, hard work, enlightenment and progress through reason, which lead to advancements and development.

Nigeria of today is more than a theatre of the grotesque. It is the jungle of the absurd, where the seeds of greed, religious extremism and ignorance have germinated into armed robbery, corruption, kidnapping, extremism, terrorism and shear wickedness.

Today, religion is part of the criminal industry with Sheiks acting for terrorists and kidnappers, justifying their crimes and pleading for their forgiveness. Pastors offering succour to armed robbers, ritual killers, extorting the members in the name of God and politicians normalising criminality, greed and lawlessness.

Who could have imagined that a country which obsesses with God, would become cesspit of crimes, corruption, inhumanity, injustices and savagery?

The greatest lie told Christians and Moslems in Nigeria is that people go to heaven when they die and that this world is not their home; when it is in fact, the only habitable planet in the Milky Way.

They lie to Muslims that violence and murder in the name of God are not the evils they are, but a means to paradise. What could be more evil and blasphemous than shouting God is great, while commuting murder and abominable atrocities?

Christianity has become a fraud which exploit gullible in the name of God.

Today, Nigeria is in the hands of people who have no moral sense of right and wrong. Men who are happy to pay themselves stratospheric salaries and allowance, spend billions building houses and buying bullet proof cars for themselves, while the education and Health service crumb and crime and terrorism destroy the country. Men who flaunt their designers cloths, while millions of young people and children go without education and food. How did Nigeria become the most unfair country in the world where politicians are at liberty to whatever they want with common resources?

Then just when one thinks one has heard it all, the government says it is planning to sell off federal government institutions and planning a minimum wage of seventy thousand (70,000) Naira, thirty seven (£37.00). This is a government that is widening the tax net as if the people are slaves who must exist at the pleasure of the government.

This demonstrates the intensity and arrogance in Nigerian politics which is as saddling as it is frightening. It is bold, it is contemptuous and it is dismissive.

One asks, what has Nigeria become and in which planet is Nigeria? What kind of beings are in power in Nigeria?. Are they still human?
