FROM THE PREACHER"S LENSES
|Friday, June 8, 2018|
am dedicating today's broadcast to the life and times of Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi, a man of uncommon character, a man of uncommon integrity who used every position he found himself to serve this nation unreservedly without personal gains.
No one can accuse him of using his various exalted position to steal or help himself. He used his religiosity to bear positively on every high position he occupied in his life time.
Many highly placed people are very religious, they do not miss prayers but they are hopeless to the nation.
Their only interest is grapping and grapping the Nation's wealth, living ostentatious life, building mansions in cities all over the world.
Truly, they go to pray in the Holy cities of the world. Jesus said that He will not respect their religious services nor recognize them on the day of judgement because religious services while decimating their people and playing god to their people at the same time is useless.
The Bible says that no one can see God, so your service to God is manifested by your service to mankind, rendered with no favoritism or personal gains.
It is only sincere service to the nation and fellow human beings that God accepts as service to Him.
I am grateful to God for the opportunity of relating with Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi when he lived.
I have always prayed to God to make my path cross Godly people who will be of help to my campaign, which is to restore the fortune of Nigeria.
I did not meet Pa Akanbi in the physical realm. It is the Holy Spirit of God who directed me to Him.
For sometimes now I recognize when the Holy Spirit speaks, so when the Holy Spirit directed me to him, I did not argue but obeyed.
Except the Holy Spirit had led me, who is Sam Aweda to seek the audience of someone who was once the President of the Appeal Court of the Federation and the foundation Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices Commission Chairman (ICPC)?
It was strongly laid on me before I left the US 2 weeks ago to see him soon as I arrived Nigeria. The Holy Spirit did not tell me why and I too did not inquire but I did not argue. So, soon as I arrived, I called his friend, Alhaji Ore who looks after him, who told me that they were on admission. He made arrangement for me to see him. In under 48hours Sunday June 3 at exactly 2.34am, a text message came from Barrister "I just lost my Dad"
Had we few thousands of Justice Mustapha Akanbi in positions of authority, Nigeria would have been different from what we have today. So today in tribute to Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi, I bring back my sermon "The Position of Authority, Who Does the Shoes fit?"
Your Lordship, Justice Mustapha Akanbi, good night, enter into your rest. Remembrance of you is very sweet. May the good Lord perfect all that you left behind and may your children take after you.
