YOU CAN BE MADE HOLY (RIGHTEOUS)

ur forefathers recognize that Heaven is home while we are on a journey here on earth and however long we live on earth, we shall return to heaven after we die. Our forefathers equally believe that some people will go to good heaven while others will go to bad heaven.

The good heaven is where God lives and it is a place of rest where there is no more sickness, no more death, no more hunger, no one cheats the other person. It is all joy, no sadness. Only the souls of the holy people will be admitted to the good heaven.

The bad heaven is called 'hell' It is the place where the souls of sinners will be kept. It is a place of torment. Those who are there will be burning for eternity. Fire will be burning them but they will not be consumed i.e they will not disintegrate, their bodies will remain intact, yet burning. You can therefore imagine the pain.

The Bible in the book of Hebrews 9: 27, says "It is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment"

The judgment is instant after death.

As the body is given up to the mother earth, which it is made of; the spirit, will either go to Paradise, the good heaven or Hades, the bad heaven; both, just described.

But God has judged all men ever born to be unholy and unrighteous.

The Old Testament of the Bible in Isaiah 64:6 says that "--We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is filthy rag-----"

The New Testament of the Bible in the book of Romans 3:23 equally says that "--All have sinned and come short of the glory of God"

With these statements, it implies that all men are condemned to the bad heaven i.e. hell. We all are condemned to hell because we have sinned and only the holy people will enter the good heaven.

This is confirmed in the book of Hebrews 12:14, which says that 'without holiness, no one will see the Lord' i.e. without holiness no one will enter the good heaven, where God lives.

But the condemned will be spared if someone will take the punishment due to him, i.e. if someone will die in his place. God will accept the blood of the righteous to atone for the blood of the sinner.

God had said in the book of Leviticus 17:11 "-------- for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul"

It means that another life must be sacrificed to redeem a life that is condemned.

This is the arrangement, which God in His unprecedented and infinite mercy has arranged for us to be made holy in spite our filth, so that we can escape the bad heaven, hell.

And where can we get a sinless, pure blood to be sacrificed for us? Who is the one who ever lived and committed no sin?

We already read in Isaiah 64:6 that "--We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is filthy rag-----"

God has demonstrated His love for mankind that He sent His Only begotten son, who lives with Him in heaven, who is sinless, to the earth to take upon Himself, the punishment due to us because of our sins.

This God's son is called Jesus. He came to the earth at the appointed time, born by a virgin. He lived on earth for 33 years and He allowed His blood to be shed. Those who brutally crucified Him were not aware of what they were doing.

But why will God do this for us? Because He will not give up on us easily. Consider what length, we human beings go in order to reconcile an obstinate child. So, you can understand why God will do everything to redeem us from hell.

All that we need to do to be declared holy is first to believe in His plan of redemption with sincere thanks to Him.

Jesus told a religious leader:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him (John 3:16,36).

So you who is a sinner can be made righteous and holy and be able to live with God after death by accepting the act of mercy of God, paid for with the blood of Jesus.

You can now be made holy and considered righteous if you will come to Jesus with a heart of gratitude for taking the punishment due to you and Him dying in your place because of your sin.

It is faith in the name of the One whose blood was shed and by accepting His plan of salvation with thanksgiving alone that you can be saved from the doom of hell.

But to be made holy, requires that you confess Jesus for what He did for you.

The Scripture says:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

So it is all an act of mercy of God and it is called 'grace'.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast"(Ephes. 2:8-9).

After this, you become a new creation. Love for all kinds of sinful behavior do no longer appeal to you (2Cor. 5: 15-17).

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1).

As simple as this? Yes. As simple as that.

Confession of faith in Jesus Christ comes before good deeds. After you confess Him, then you live your life for Him. Salvation is complete by faith in Jesus Christ, then supported with good deeds.

My friend, this is the truth summary of how you can be made holy and enter the good heaven, where God lives.

Simply thank Jesus for dying in your place and tell Him that you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour and ask Him to please write your name in the Book of life. After this, just accept your salvation and live the rest of your life for Him.
