“KISS AND SAY GOODBYE” – THE MANHATTANS. REPRISED BY ALFRED OBIORA UZOKWE

he Manhattans took the world by storm when they released this masterpiece, “Kiss and Say Goodbye” in 1976. It went straight up the charts and sold millions of copies.

I have always loved this song and have always wanted to play and sing it. But each time I think of the opening monologue and the baritone voice the guy used to say it, I get discouraged because I don’t have a baritone voice. But then, in the last week, something said, sing it anyway, your way, your voice. I did.

Having played all the instruments therein, sand all the harmonies and lead vocal, and then said the opening monologue, I am satisfied that I gave it my very best. As someone once said, the best approach to life is, “shoot for the stars, but if you fail, you would at least get to the skies”. LOL

Anyway, enjoy The Manhattans’ - “Kiss and Say Goodbye” as reprised by me. Remember, the Manhattans own all rights and credits
