THE POET'S CORNER - THEME: LOVE

ove is a powerful emotion that we all experience in our lives. Love is gift that everyone deserves to have and also to give. Love never gives up and true love will give you a reason to go on each day. God is love and He has also given us the ability to love and be loved.

LOVE LIFTED ME

On the Journey of love,
I stumbled and I fell,
Rejection made me stoop and cry
But, your love gave me wings to fly
Yes, Love lifted me.

Your kind words
Your gentleness,
Your outstretched arms,
Your patience
Your faith and confidence in me
All made me soar high
Yes, love lifted me.

Sweet love for a queen
Sweet love for a princess
Sweet love for a damsel
Sweet love for a gentle soul
Sweet love for a pauper
Every woman needs that sweet love
Sweet love lifted me
Now I am flying on eagle's wings.

THE SEARCH

Across the Atlantic
Along the way
In every race and in every face
I searched for love
My humble search for love.

I want someone to love my
Spirit and soul not just my body.
I want to be free because in love
There is freedom.
Freedom to be me with you.
Someone who knows my past
And is not afraid to walk
Into my future.

Alas I have found you
Not across the Atlantic
Not along the way
But right here in my face.

THE MISSING RIB

Sound asleep one lonely night
Alone for the last time tonight.
He slept with all his ribs in place
Awoke with one missing rib.

How wonderful
How beautiful
For one missing rib
No longer will I be lonely.

My wife, the bone of bones,
I have found my missing rib in you.
The flesh of my flesh
Never will you be a thorn in my flesh.

One missing rib brought forth you and
You brought forth a whole New World.
Find your missing rib and
Find your New World.
