STEPHEN HAWKING: A TIMBER IN THE SCIENCE COMMUNITY

Stephen Hawking, the brilliant British theoretical physicist who overcame a debilitating disease to publish wildly popular books probing the mysteries of the universe, has died, according to a family spokesman. He was 76.

rof. Stephen Hawking, a great theoretical physicist of our time has answered the supreme call! He kicked the bucket in the early hours of today.

Stephen William Hawking was a Briton. He was born in England on January 8, 1942. "300 years to the day after the death of the astronomer Galileo Galilei." Hawking was one of the most loved scientists in the world. A terrific and gifted individual with coagulated brains of many accomplished individuals! Hawking was an icon of inspiration and hero to many people. His sense of humor and witticism made him a larger than life individual to be remembered.

Stephen Hawking attended University College, Oxford. His father wanted him to study medicine but the young Hawking chose to study physics. Stephen Hawking ended up being one of the smartest and accomplished physicists in the world.

Though cowed and bludgeoned by disability, his incredible ability has made him one of the greatest scientists of our time. "Hawking had a rare early-onset, a slow-progressing form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) that gradually paralyzed him over the decades. He was still able to communicate using a single cheek muscle attached to a speech-generating device." His cutting-edge work with black holes and relativity distinguished him as a phenomenon in the science community.

Professor Hawking's greatest fallibility was his unending imaginative expedition to hear the voice of God through the wilderness of science. The infallibility of God is mysterious and unchallengeable. He was permanently voice-impaired. Hawking later succumbed to the invincibility of the most high!

Prof. Stephen Hawking has joined his kindred spirits at the age of 76. His kindred spirits, puzzled minds, and companion enigmas include Albert Einstein, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton etc. As the universe is making a quantum leap in science and technology, Professor Hawking's unique imagination will continue to entice our cognition, and his ingenuity will forever defy human comprehension.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace!
