REVEREND FATHER MBAKA: A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD INDEED!

ev. Father Mbaka must be applauded for his bravery by calling on the president to resign from the office of presidency in order to give room for a change. He has once again demonstrated the character of God on the scene of a perverted nation. He spoke to the astonishment of his comrades who have tried to avoid propagandas against the most inept leader the nation has ever produced. Reverend Father Mbaka has become the symbol of prophet Jeremiah in our time for his truthfulness, boldness and tenacity to speak against a toxic leader under whose government the nation is fragmented along ethnic and religious lines, dysfunctional in organization structure and malnourished on its democratic dividend. Such a divine mission could only be undertaken by a mystic cardinal priest moved by an ecstasy and overwhelmed by the power of the Holy Spirit to represent the collective voice of the masses. This honorable, revered, vicariate apostolic man of God has spoken against a president whose leadership inventory is a catalogue of failures. Haven served as vice-president for 2 years and president for 5 years, Goodluck Jonathan has proven to Nigerians that he is not only a visionless, and clueless leader, he has used his executive office to encourage the worst financial mismanagement in the history of Nigeria. As a result of this, Goodluck Jonathan must be considered the worst president Nigeria has produced since independence.

I was somehow bewildered when the association of religious leaders, the Southern Nigeria Christian Elders Forum came out to denounce the revered Reverend Father by stating that his message was not inspired by the Holy Spirit. They have openly advised Nigerians to cast their vote for Jonathan whose incompetent government has made life a melancholy for them. Their response is not only ludicrous; it is a colossal failure in regard to their divine call. It is absolutely obvious that they do not understand the functions of the Holy Spirit. This is the problem that has become endemic in the nation since 1999, a well-organized conspiracy by politicians along with their religious leaders to cause problems among Nigerians by creating ethnic and religious divide in the nation's polity. As maladroit as the Jonathan's government has been, I cannot understand why some Nigerians are still clamoring for his continuity. What has made these priests to think that God was not using Reverend Mbaka? Was there any accusation made by Father Mbaka against Jonathan that did not constitute a statement of fact? Do they understand the level of rottenness in Goodluck Jonathan's government? How do they feel about the hunger and frustration of young Nigerians parading the streets across the nation in search of employment? Do these priests care about the 50 billion dollars stolen by Jonathan's government? What about the plundering of the nation's resources that has resulted to 70 percent of Nigerians been dehumanized? I would personally advise all these religious leaders in Nigeria to please read the book of Proverb 14: 31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. I have to submit here that Jonathan's government has been an ardent oppressor of the poor and the helpless in Nigeria and it is the responsibility of all true Disciples of Christ to speak against it. I recently read about how Jonathan and his boys had given 6billion naira as bribe to mobilize some prominent religious leaders in the south against Buhari. Proverb 23:1-3. When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee: 2 And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite. 3 Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat. There is no doubt that majority of these men of God have soiled their hands with proceeds from stolen monies. They have become vultures and scavengers using their position to aid and abet wickedness in the nation and among public officials. But they must understand that the clock is ticking, and in no time they would be made to account for their stewardship. This negative response against Father Mbaka only shows the degree to which Christianity has been reduced to mere social gatherings in Nigeria. It also shows how difficult it would be for these leaders to show contrition. Their defense against justice and quest for a continuous oppression of the poor is evident of their involvement in the fight against the progress of the nation. In this case one would not be wrong to say that some of these men of God have contributed in one way or another to the problems of Nigeria. Haven taken the inventory of Jonathan's failed performance in the past five years, I concur with Rev. father Mbaka's advice for him to resign in the interest of the nation.

Rev. Father Mbaka is not a politician. He was/is not vying for any public office. He is a true sacristan and a disciple of our lord Jesus Christ. He spoke against a government that has rendered the nation into untold hardship. How can any true man of God in Nigeria pretend to be oblivious of the terrible damage the politicians have done to the Nation? How could they have come to a consensus to endorse a president who has used his executive office to cover up dubious transactions in all federal establishments? This is a question that continues to ponder the mind of ordinary Nigerians, but however the answer may not be farfetched. It is simply because they have taken their share from the nation's treasury by fraud. Reverend Father Mbaka is not just an ordinary catholic father; he is a rare disciple through whom the spirit of Christ has spoken to the nation. The situation in Nigeria right now is exactly the same as it was in the time of prophet Jeremiah when he stood at the gate of synagogues and warned the children of Israel to abstain from wickedness or risk the invasion of the Babylonians. They did not only snub at him, they tried all they could to assassinate him. It was not long when the kingdom of Judah and Israel were crushed and the land desecrated by the Babylonians. All the men, women, and children were held captives. The prophecy of the man of God had come to pass.

The same was another great man of God and his name was prophet Amos. In the book of Amos 5:11-12 Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them. 12 For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right. In this passage prophet Amos had continued to warn the king and the privileged among the children of Israel to desist from wickedness including the oppression of the poor or risk captivity by the invaders. However Amos warnings were considered as reproach to the king and therefore he was confronted by a religious priest by the name Amaziah. Here is the extract.

Amos 7:10-15. 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath "conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court.14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdsman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:15 And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel. 16 Now therefore hear thou the word of the Lord: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac. 17 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.

It happened that according to the word of the lord they all came to pass. It is the responsibility of the men of God in any nation to speak against evils especially such that is practiced by the Nigerian government. "The church must be reminded that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but rather the conscience of the state, it must be the guide and the critic of the state, and never its tool. If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority."-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It is appalling how the so called men of God in Nigeria have compromised their faith and relinquished their Divine call for pieces of bread. Nigeria as a country has the highest population of Christians or prophets in Africa and yet one of the most corrupt nations in the world. Is it that a shame? It is pathetic. Nigerians must understand that there are group of individuals with vested interest who are working tirelessly to cripple the progress of the Nation for their own advantage. Nigeria is currently at war. The fire is burning and the people have nowhere to run. Hunger is ravaging the land; the level of unemployment is devastating. The nation is wallowing in darkness, and education is in shambles. The nation's money is carted away in billions while the populace wallows in abject poverty. More and more Nigerians are humiliated as they become refugees in other countries around the world. The nation's army is dysfunctional and immobile. Inflation is becoming uncontrollable as the oil price in the world market is plummeting. Austerity measure has been introduced and this would further compound the problem of unemployment and some of those already employed may lose their jobs.

The level of insecurity in the nation is unspeakable, from Boko Haram to Kidnappers and ritualists. I just read a testimony of a middle aged woman in Lagos who recently escaped from the jaws of death in the hands of ritualist. According to her, she was kidnapped and taken to a forest where she witnessed the torture of at least 200 victims caged and their hair shaved waiting to be slaughtered. According to her, there was a particular lady who tearfully narrated her ordeal of how she was kidnapped with her four children while they were on their way to the church on Sunday. She admitted that they had been there for a month though three of her children have been slaughtered already. I became extremely emotional after reading this story and I shed tears for the unfortunate lady and her children. Bodies of poor Nigerians are often seen littering the street across the nation almost on a daily basis. The anger of the lord God is kindled against the nation of Nigeria. They have killed the poor, and the innocents, orphans and the widows. The blood of these innocent ones is crying out for vengeance. Who can stand against the anger of the lord God? The only way Nigerians can escape the calamity that is coming upon the nation is to mount pressure on their government to take a decisive action or stringent measures to combat these menaces. Unless that is done, the day of vengeance is at hand.

ATTENTION NIGERIANS!

The land is besieged by auras of darkness. These agents have gathered to war against the inhabitance of the land. They have unleashed their spiritual weapons on the helpless poor mortals and they would not retreat. Many have deserted the land and have taken refuge in different nations of the world. The land is bleeding. There are echoes of pain emanating from those trapped in this web of spiritual warfare and with one voice they cried "who shall deliver us? It is on this note that Reverend Father Mbaka has spoken. He has answered to the call of God to mobilize the people against the quantum of powerful forces that have held the nation hostage and plunged the lives of the people into hell on earth. The battle line is drawn and the day is 14th February 2015. The only weapon available to the inhabitants to dispel these auras of darkness which is PDP is the voter's card. Therefore, all Nigerians must obtain this card and join in the crusade to register their unflinching support for General Mohammadu Buhari.

When we walk without the cross, when we build without the cross and when we proclaim Christ without the cross, we are not disciples of the Lord. We are worldly. We may be bishops, priests, cardinals, popes, all of this, but we are not disciples of the Lord. - Pope Francis
