You stated your disappointment that you were not allowed to check excess baggage to Nigeria. Delta started the excess baggage embargo effective December 20, 2007. Since you did not note when you checked our website, it may have started after your research. We regret the poor impression. Please note that we currently have a year long excess baggage embargo. You may review this information at the following URL: https://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/baggage/baggage_allowance/excess_baggage/index.jsp

You also mentioned your displeasure that the EmPower cord was not available on board the flight. We hope you will understand that due to space limitations, we are unable to stock every item in our Duty Free catalog.

Our flight attendants are expected to be responsive and offer accurate, thorough information and assistance. Our goal is to make sure your flight is enjoyable, and training is provided to ensure a consistent and pleasant travel experience. Please let me assure you that Delta makes every effort to provide the highest possible standard of service in all areas of our operation. We monitor performance throughout our company, and the comments received from our passengers are a helpful part of our overall evaluation. Therefore, I have forwarded your remarks to the appropriate areas for internal review.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns and look forward to your additional comments as noted on the website you gave us.

Sincerely,

Duane Phillips
