Bamidele Ademola-Olateju

ecently, I read in the news the appointment of Sister Bamidele Ademola-Olateju as Commissioner by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State. I want to congratulate Madam Bamidele Ademola-Olateju for her well-deserved political portfolio especially. The envisioned governor of Ondo State must be morally wise to have recognized Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju's contributions to national discourse and done the needful. It's a welcome development.

Meanwhile, the boisterous and savvy Bamidele Ademola-Olateju has paid her moral dues to the reawakening of our youths and leaders. Mrs. Bamidele has consistently fought for the masses. She has mobilized docile youths and for the complacency of all of us. Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju is self-made through hard work and dedication. She has carved a niche for herself in the consciousness of the Diaspora Nigerians. The caveat is that Madam Bamidele Ademola-Olateju must be careful not to get conscripted or initiated into the moral bankruptcy of our body politics by the lurking political cults in Nigerian geopolitics. Bamidele's arduous journey into our famished political climate must be role-modeling and deconstruct youths' apathy and hopelessness in today's polity.

Morally, sister Bamidele must be advised that it's pertinent and easy to criticize government outside of government. Still, the recipe for success for being the insider in government is to maintain one's moral integrity and enforce expectations of your teeming followers and masses. These recipes will also provide you with the basis for building your political career according to genuine democracy and the masses' expectations. You will also be producing the bees of decent youths for the politics of today and tomorrow.

Without equivocation, now that the Amazon sister wants to start dining and winning with the "Ogas at the top," sister Bamidele must have a long and well-crafted spork for political dinners with the Nigerian politicians. Our moral expectations of her must be guided, sustained, and well-preserved. While performing her expected duties, sister Bamidele will undoubtedly meet frustration, inducements, political spices and enticements, appetizers, etc. Her moral filial must be alert to advise and trigger any of the recipes above for political reasons and fiaschi.

Instructively, Bamidele Ademola-Olateju must take a cue from the loss and moral blight of Ruben Abati--our brilliant star and poster boy and impeccable role model in freelance writings and communication. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju must not be discouraged from accepting her political portfolio wholeheartedly. She mustn't pinch her distractors and wailers for taking her impending position to genuinely serve her people in the Akoko South Western part of Ondo State. Sister Bamidele's focus must be to succeed beyond Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's vision and Bamidele's own expectations. Sister Bamidele must be the moral harbinger of our undisputed dreams---and the representation of our collective hope for a better Nigeria.

Again, *Congratulations* to Sisi Bamidele! We wish her success.
