he poverty that envelopes the continent of Africa, the death of young Africans in the Sahara Desert and Mediterranean Sea, and the torture and enslavement of young Africans of Nigerian extraction in Libya have left the world astonished with the question of what is wrong with the black race? I believe as difficult as the answer may be, many would strongly agree that at some point in time they have been arrested by the same quest for an answer especially those whose genealogy emanate from the products of white and Asianic ancestry. One may ask, why is it necessary to ask such a question? The reason is because among the four races on this planet, black race is the only one that is considered to be deficient in areas of leadership capabilities. There are currently four races that make up the 7.5 billion world population. They are white, Asian, Black, and Australoid. The question is, why is the black race considered by the rest of the human species as inferior? Why is there so much discrimination and hate against black people around the world?

It is long overdue for black people to understand why they are strongly rebuffed and hated among the community of nations. As it is widely known, the home of the black race is Africa, a continent so endowed and blessed with incalculable natural resources, that without her, it would be difficult for other continents to advance their social economic and tech-development. Among all the abundant natural resources found in the continent of Africa is Columbite -Tantalite, also known as coltan. According to Wikipedia," Coltan is used primarily for the production of tantalum capacitors, used in many electronic devices. Many sources mention coltan's importance in the production of mobile phones, but tantalum capacitors are used in almost every kind of electronic device"- Wikipedia. Sixty percent of this single but world most valuable resource is found in Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda and the only countries where the resource is currently being mined. In addition to this, Africa is known to be the richest continent in the world with regards to other resources like cobalt, Gold, Diamond, Petroleum and Uranium used for the production of Nuclear energy. Consequent upon this, one would have expected that Africans ought to be respected anywhere around the world. I am going to use this medium to express my subjective opinion, the reasons I believe the rest of the world has absolutely no respect for Africans. I would like to state very bluntly that if I were white, or Asian, I would probably have harbored the same sentiment against the continent of Africa.

I would have joined in the same anger against the people of Africa. Here are the reasons:

Why would the people of a continent so endowed with all kind of natural resources become refugees everywhere in the world?

Why are their young men and women dying in the Sahara Desert and Mediterranean Sea in a bid to cross to Europe?

Why are they sold in Libya and several Arab countries as slaves in this 21st century? Why is the poverty level in this continent the highest compared to the rest of the world?

Why are their young women raped and sold for prostitution in Europe and the middle east?

Why are they flooding embassies of different countries trying to obtain visas to flee their continent?

This is what brings the question of what is really wrong with the black race.

Although many countries are bewildered by these questions about Africa, it is extremely difficult for them to find answers to it. Their only response is an expression in form of anger and hate because to them Africans are mentally deficient and cannot govern themselves. They also believe and hold very strongly that Africans lack the spirit of oneness and unity.

A race that is subservient to the vagary and caprices of other races.

A race that has not been able to gain total freedom by extricating themselves from neo-colonialism. A race that demonstrate that they do not have the mental capacity to advance their own course.

A race that adores wealth but trivialize any cause to build their nations. A race that feeds on the crumbs of other races and do not evolve. A race that does not have intellectual ability to create and advance their communities.

A race that has all available resources to build their nations but instead give those resources to their enemies and subject their own people to penury.

A race that does not have a voice among the comity of nations.

A race that does not have any force or instrument to defend their continent in the event of invasion.

A race that does not invest and encourage scientific development but instead feeds on the handy-work of other races.

A race that does not like their own skin color.

With the above reasons, it is absolutely clear why the world is weary of the people of African descent. The question now is why does the black race fails to see themselves in this light, so they could work together collectively to find solutions to it? African problems cannot be resolved without first understanding the cause of it.

The major causes of African problems are corruption, hate, witchcraft, envy and serious wickedness. When it comes to smartness, Africans are just as smart as other races and they are intellectually capable of competing with them but they lack the spirit of a collective effort, to achieve a collective result. The foundation of African problem is built on defective leadership. African leaders have demonstrated to the world that they are genetically deficient and mentally incapacitated by greed and wickedness and therefore do not possess the moral credentials to govern their continent. According to a US Global Financial Integrity, African leaders have embezzled 1.8trillion dollars between 1970 and 2008 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/apr/01/africa-illegal-money-lost. As of 2006, it was estimated that the monies stolen from Nigeria since independence was 380 billion dollars http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6069230.stm. Even more painful is the fact that 90 percent of this money was taken to the western countries and lodged in private accounts of these leaders where they are been used by these countries for industrial and economic development. Right at this moment 2019, monies are still been stolen by African leaders and taken to the western world while their people live in the most horrible condition unimaginable. As it is in Africa, so it is in all black nations around the world. The level of poverty in Haiti is unspeakable and Jamaica has the highest crime rate in the Caribbean peninsular. Perhaps, Frederick Lugard was the first to understand the enigmatic nature of the black man during his early interactions with Africans in 1926. Here was his assertion: In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person. Lacking in self-control, discipline, and foresight. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future, or grief for the past. "He lacks the power of organization, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility ...he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. Perhaps the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future." - Lord Frederick John Lugard, The Dual Mandate, pg.70 (1926)

92 years after this Observation, posterity has proven that Frederick Lugard is right since in reality Africans have not been able to prove him wrong. What is even more complex about Africans is their inability to learn from the history of other races and see how much they have evolved. Africa at some point in time have had radical nationalist elements, some of whom were Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah, and a host of others whose visions for Africa was that of greatness. Unfortunately, their hope and visions for their beloved continent have not only crumbled, Africa is once again subject to colonial invasion under the voluntary invitation of African leaders. Young Africans are once again offering themselves as slaves voluntarily to the Arabs and Europeans. African leaders have failed to understand that the world is a battle ground for survival of the fittest. It is only natural that no one is willing to identify with failures and for the fact that Africa as a continent has failed, no nation is willing to deal with Africans on a ground of mutual respect. It is of paramount importance to know that not only that Africans cannot govern themselves, they have not been able to invent and develop any technology that could be used by the rest of the world. While the whites and Asians engage in scientific discoveries and innovations, African continent has not been able to contribute in a microcosmic way, to these areas that propels and pilot the human race. Technology has come a long way. Every nation across the world is working tirelessly to compete with one another in areas of scientific innovations from space engineering to aeronautics, from Robotic to artificial intelligence. From the creation of war powerful machines to proposed development of android artificial trans-humanism. In all of these, Africa is left in a valley of isolation. Right now, countries are working seriously to replace gasoline cars with electric cars.

Here is a list of countries that would no longer be using gasoline cars according to their respective plans. Indian-2030, Britain-2040-, Norway-2025, Germany is working on it. It is obvious that China is equally working on it and so, in no distant time gasoline cars would be faced out. What is the plan of African continent in all of these? How many research centers are established for scientific research, innovations and development in Africa? of course none and if there is any, they are under equipped. What is the state of African colleges and Universities? They are obviously under-equipped. What happens to the trillions of dollars African government receive from the sale of their natural resources? Of course, the monies are stolen by the same leaders and taken back to the western nations to hide in their private accounts. This is the reason why Africans have become repugnant in the community of nations. This is the reason why Africans are trodden upon by other nations. This is the reason the voice of Africans is silenced in decision making on issues that relates to world event.

Marcus Garvey was a born Jamaican who immigrated to the United States in the 1940s. Haven witnessed and experienced a society so entrenched in racial segregation and prejudice, he decided to educate himself about the continent of Africa and soon he discovered that the wealth in Africa could be used to advance the continent to compete with the rest of the world. Marcus Garvey saw Africa as not just a continent but nations that could be united to harness God given resources to create a formidable empire. He therefore started a movement in the United States called Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League. This movement was to embark on a journey with the intention of building a sovereign black egalitarian society that would be self-reliant. These were his words "Lagging behind in the van of civilization will not prove our higher abilities. Being subservient to the will and caprice of progressive races will not prove anything superior in us. Being satisfied to drink of the dregs from the cup of human progress will not demonstrate our fitness as a people to exist alongside of others, but when of our own initiative we strike out to build industries, governments, and ultimately empires, then and only then will we as a race prove to our Creator and to man in general that we are fit to survive and capable of shaping our own destiny. -Marcus Garvey. Though his effort was truncated by series of litigation and internal sabotage, Marcus Garvey would proceed to become a black historic legend and a rare gem of African nationalist.

Here were the words of Kwame Nkrumah: "Countrymen, the task ahead is great indeed and heavy is the responsibility, and yet it is a noble and glorius challenge- a challenge which calls for the courage to dream, the courage to do, the courage to envision, the courage to fight, the courage to work, the courage to achieve - to achieve the highest excellencies and the fullest greatness of man. Dare we ask for more in life" - Kwame Nkrumah. These were African nationalists whose rare gem of intellectual disposition transcend the expectations of other races. While they fought to propagate the spirit of oneness and unity as the only recipes for African greatness, their lives were abruptly caught short. They did not die without leaving behind a legacy, a legacy that would have propelled the continent of Africa to the pinnacle of greatness had the leaders of Africa translate them into reality. As the continent of Africa continues to fall behind the track of human race, the question remains inexplicable as to why the black race lack the ability to visualize, create, innovate, invent, build and govern themselves.
