Senator Isaiah Ballat: A loss to Nigeria, but particularly to Southern Kaduna
COLUMBUS, OHIO (February 25, 2014)
ords cannot express our grief at the news of the passing away of our illustrious brother and father, Sir Isaiah Ballat. His service as Senator, Minister, and Special Adviser to the Vice President for Special Duties are historic and will be remembered. He symbolized fairness and justice. Mr. Ballat was the people's representation in the Senate and as a Minister cared for our socioeconomic development.
We, the Southern Kaduna in the Diaspora, USA (SOKAD-USA), share with the people of Nigeria, Kaduna State, the Southern Kaduna people, and the Senator's family- in particular, this moment of sorrow and grief for the loss of an illustrious son. May the Lord comfort his family, especially Mrs. Ballat and the children, in this trying time!
Certainly, the people of Kaduna State, as in the past, will be able to transform grief into a force of strength, thus contributing better for unity, peace, security, and development of Kaduna State.
Indeed, this is a dark moment but there is a 'light at the end of the tunnel'.
May you rest in the Lord Jesus Christ!
Dr. Likita Aminu (President, SOKAD-USA)
