Did you graduate First Class or a good Second Class Upper Division in any African country? A university in the West is accepting applications for both undergraduate and graduate studies for the 2014/2015 academic session and in commemoration of its 50th year anniversary celebration will be offering full and partial scholarships to about 1,000 African students as a way of giving back to the society.

Eligibility: Only high school students planning to apply for undergraduate courses and those wishing to pursue full-time masters' degree courses in the next two academic sessions are eligible to apply from the following nations: Angola, Algeria, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Swaziland.

Disciplines and Costs: 10 Best Graduating High School Students for Academic Excellence wishing to study at the university in 2014 in any discipline as full-time students. Amount: $10,000 (Ten thousand Dollars) per year for 4 years towards undergraduate degree completion.

4 Best Graduating High School Students for International Leadership Scholarship at the university. Amount: All tuition, accommodation and 100% living expenses paid for 4 years toward either undergraduate and or graduate studies. *Restrictions apply to certain courses/disciplines.

Honors Scholarship Award for Golden Jubilee Celebration: A total of 50 scholarships will be offered in 2014/2015 academic sessions for need-based and academic excellences for high school students entering the university to read bachelor's degree in any discipline. The need-based eligibility requirements include; orphans, disabled individuals and those who can demonstrate hardship in growing up and achieving academic excellence. Amount: $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars) per academic year for 4 years until completion of undergraduate studies.

Vice-Chancellor's Doctoral Student Scholarship: 1o PhD students coming in to study at the university in 2014/2015 with strong bachelors and masters degrees. If you have a First Class in bachelor's degree, you can apply and apply the scholarship to your PhD program. Amount: $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars) for your one-year master's program and additional help for air travel and living expenses. Amount for PhD: $24,653.00 (Twenty-Four Thousand, Six hundred and fifty-Three Dollars) for three semesters or one full academic year for three years toward full-time PhD program.

Sports Scholarship: The University gives out various numbers of scholarships for highly-gifted sportsmen and women of different varieties that are competed for internationally and at the university level. Amount: $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) for one year which can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education.

Residential/Accommodation Scholarship Offered by Pro-Chancellor: 5 students will be awarded $1,000 (One Thousand Dollars each) to offset living and accommodation expenses for one year at the university. This award can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education.

Music Studies Scholarship: 1 student coming to the university to study music in 2014 will be offered a scholarship for first year at the university. Amount: $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars only). The student will be asked to demonstrate practical application of talent for music as soon as offered admission full-time. The scholarship can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education.

Music Education Scholarship: 1 student coming to the university to study music education in 2014 will be offered a scholarship for first year at the university. Amount: $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars only). The student will be asked to demonstrate practical application of talent for music as soon as offered admission full-time. The scholarship can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education.

Music Concert Scholarship: 2 students with talent for music performances coming to the university to study music in 2014 will be offered scholarships for first year at the university. Amount: $3,000 (Three Thousand Dollars only). The student will be asked to demonstrate practical application of talent for music as soon as offered admission full-time. The scholarship can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education. Interview will be conducted as soon as admitted into the school of music.

Ensemble Leadership Scholarship by the School of Music: 2 students with talent for music performances/ensemble talents coming to the university to study music in 2014 will be offered scholarships for first year at the university. Amount: $3,000 (Three Thousand Dollars only). The student will be asked to demonstrate practical application of talent for music at an audition as soon as offered admission full-time. The scholarship can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education. Interview will be conducted as soon as admitted into the school of music.

Arts Honors Scholarships: The University gives out various numbers of scholarships at least to 50 highly-gifted high school students coming to the university to study various arts courses. The competition is rigorous and those who graduated 5% on top of their class are favored for arts merit scholarships. Amount: $4,000 (Four Thousand Dollars) each for full-time student per year for 4 years. Another set of awardees in the second batch will receive $3,000 (Three Thousand Dollars) each for full-time student per year for 4 years. 50 high-achieving and highly-talented students will be awarded these various scholarships in commemorating the 50th Year Anniversary Founder's Day Celebration of the University in 2014.

2 Accounting And Finance Student Scholarships: The sum of $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars) will be offered as scholarships to 2 in-coming undergraduate students from any of the African nations listed above wishing to study Accounting and Finance at the university in 2014/2015 academic session. Tenable for one year only and the scholarship can be combined with other university scholarships to finance your 4-year undergraduate education.

School of Engineering Scholarship Awards: The University will award scholarships to 50 students coming to the university to study engineering and engineering-related disciplines in 2014/2015 academic session. These 50 scholarships are in commemorating the 50th Year Anniversary Founder's Day Celebration in 2014. Amount: Each student will receive $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars) per year as full-time engineering students for 4 years or for the duration of their program provided they maintain a 3.5 GPA throughout their undergraduate studies.

Undergraduate Engineering Excellence Scholarship Awards: Another set of 50 students coming to the university to study engineering and engineering-related disciplines in 2014/2015 academic session will be awarded these scholarships. Amount: $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) will be paid to each recipient for just one academic session only. This can be combined with other scholarships awarded by the College of Engineering in 2014.

Women Engineering Scholarship Awards: Another set of 50 students (but women only) coming to the university to study engineering and engineering-related disciplines in 2014/2015 academic session will be awarded these scholarships. Amount: $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) will be paid to each recipient for just one academic session only. This can be combined with other scholarships awarded by the College of Engineering in 2014. The scholarship awards are targeted at women in Africa gifted in the field of engineering and engineering-related courses.

Information Technology Merit Scholarship Awards: 50 students coming to the University to study Information Technology in 2014/2015 academic year will be awarded the first Level 1 Merit Scholarship Award. Highly competitive and rigorous. Amount: $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars) for each student for full-time undergraduate studies for 4 years.

Another set of 50 students coming to the University to pursue masters/PhD research degrees in Information Technology in 2014/2015 academic year will be awarded the second Level 2 Merit Scholarship Award. Desirable recipients must be holders of First Class or excellent Second Class Upper Division in bachelor's degree in Information Technology or closely-allied discipline. Evidence of commitment to quality research in technology in Statement of Purpose and Excellent Letters of Recommendation highly desirable. Amount: $7,000 (Seven Thousand Dollars) for each student for full-time graduate studies till the completion of the Doctoral program.

Medical Education Research Scholarship Awards: 2 Scholarship awards for graduate students with excellent undergraduate degree to conduct research in the medical education field at the university during 2014/2015 academic year. Amount: $6,000 (Six Thousand Dollars) for each student per year for full-time post-graduate research throughout duration of master's program.

Undergraduate Pharmacy Merit Scholarship Awards: 4 students coming to the university to study for their Pharm Degree in 2014 are eligible for this scholarship awards. Amount: 50% of your tuition will be paid by the university throughout the duration of your undergraduate degree. After the best 2 high-ranking high school students have been chosen for the scholarship awards; 2 other high-achieving high school students among pool of applicants will be awarded scholarships. Amount: 25% of their tuition will be paid by the university throughout the duration of their undergraduate degree programs in Pharmacy.

Sciences and Mathematics Honors Scholarship Awards: 50 students applying for admission to study Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Science s and Biotechnology at the university will receive various scholarship awards in 2014 as part of activities commemorating the 50th Year Anniversary Founder's Day Celebration in 2014. Amount: $2,500 (Two Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars) for all full-time students with a-3.70 GPA in first year; $2,000 (Two Thousand Dollars) for all full-time students in Mathematics with a -3.80 GPA in the first year; $2,500 (Two Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars) for all full-time students in the Sciences with a-3.70 GPA in first year; $2,000 (Two Thousand Dollars) for all full-time students in Environmental Science with a-3.70 GPA in first year.
