Re: Invitation of Generals Buhari and Babangida to the Abdulsalami Abubakar Distinguished Lecture Series.

Dear Dr. Daniel:

fter several meetings and deliberations, we wish to establish our anger and disappointment, as many Nigerian citizens and groups all over the world have done, at your invitation of generals Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babangida (rtd.) to attend the Abdulsalami Abubakar Distinguished lecture series.

With full knowledge of the atrocities committed by these two tyrants, your fine institution invited, for the love of money, them to attend the lecture series. You have by your action demonstrated to Nigerians and the world that you and your institution had no sympathy for the many Nigerian lives that were lost by the evil actions of these two generals and the misery inflicted on the general Nigerian populace by their mismanagement and looting of the national treasury. You have shown us and the world that you prefer to dine and wine with the devil to the detriment of well meaning peoples of Nigeria and Africa. By honoring them with the invitation, you have shown that you condone their atrocities and that you and the management of your institution would have done what they did if you were availed the opportunity. You sought their friendship and ignored the outcry precipitated by their invitation.

We are attaching herewith a copy of our letter to Secretary of State Collin Powell which yields more reflections on the atrocities of these generals.

We ask that your institution disinvite them, and forthwith dissociate itself from these rogue rulers. We trust that you will respect the feelings of those devastated by their atrocities by acting accordingly.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the undersigned at (301) 464 6489 or (301) 943 6030.

Dr. Elnora Daniel

We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

C. Victor Mbakpuo, Esq.
