NCP, North America, protests Abdulsalami Lecture Series

MOBILIZE AGAINST THE LEGITIMACY OF ASSASSINATION OF NIGERIANS BY THE
CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY and JESSE JACKSON
MOBILIZE AGAINST GENERAL IBRAHIM BABANGIDA ETC.
he National Conscience Party, (NCP) North America in conjunction with
the Eastern Mandate Union in the United States and the entire Nigerian
Community Abroad received with a rude shock, the honoring of General
Abdulsalami A. Abubakar in an event titled “Abdulsalami A. Abubakar
Distinguished Lecture Series, Pan Africanism, Democracy and Leadership in
Africa: The Continuing Legacy for the New Millennium” in Chicago on
Friday, February 23, 2001. It was announced that the shameless
self-confessed evil genius, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) and
General Muhammad Buhari would also be honored.
We ask Nigerians and their true friends to join us for a rally to show
our indignation at the Chicago State University on Friday, February 23,
2001. NCP is providing free transportation from the following locations
in North Eastern part of the United States:
Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area
Baltimore, Maryland
Delaware
Philadelphia
New Jersey and New York
Buses would leave these cities on Thursday, February 22, 2001. Please
call for details.
Why the Rally
A non-reaction to this insulting act will send a message to the rest of
the agents in the Nigerian government that “if you oppress, kill and
incarcerate your people because of our interest you shall be rewarded
just like these stooges of ours.” Furthermore he who passively accepts
evil is as much involved in it as he who perpetrates it, and he who
accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.
We are therefore at the moment when our lives must be placed on the line
if our nation is to survive the folly of our visionless rulers. We
believe that every man of humane convictions must decide on the protest
that best suits his convictions, but we must all protest.
We now produce a brief record of each of these characters to be honored
and the detrimental effect of the honor on Nigeria and Africa.
General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd.)
The General came to power through a military coup and overboldly imposed
himself on Nigerians as the President. The self-proclaimed “evil-genius”
committed the following unpardonable sins against humanity:
- He annulled the fairest and freest elections in the history of Nigeria
in 1993. This annulment culminated in the killing of several Nigerians,
produced the unconstitutional titular head of state, the unscrupulous
Earnest Shonekan and eventually produced the devil General Sani Abacha,
who assassinated a lot of Nigerians and chased many into exile including
Chief Anthony Enahoro, the man who made the motion for Nigeria to be
independent and for life to be better for Babangida and Abacha. Without
Babangida there would have been no Abacha. Babangida continues to be the
main stumbling block to progress in Nigeria and the black race.
- He is a drug dealer who murdered Dele Giwa, one of the most respected
journalists to prevent the story of his drug business from being told.
- He unleashed a reign of terror on Nigerians by assassinating human
rights activists. Up till today Babangida continues to threaten the life
of anyone who dares to bring him to book on the death of Dele Giwa. He
also bombed the C-130 plane carrying 150 young soldiers from the Middle
Belt.
- He engaged in human rights abuses – arrested and incarcerated Dr. Beko
Kuti, Mr. Femi Falana, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, Arthur Nwakwo Olisa
Agbakoba, etc several times without charges. He also attempted to murder
them.
- He inculcated the culture of “settlement” (bribery) and culture of
dubiousness in Nigerians thus devalued the worth of Nigerians. Today
Nigerians are being punished for his misrule by the government of the
same people honoring these culprits.
- Since 1966, he has been involved in various coups in Nigeria including
that of civilian government of President Shehu Shagari.
- He was indicted by the Honorable Pius Okigbo’s panel as having stolen
$2.4b out of $2.6b representing windfall revenues Nigeria earned as a
result of the Gulf War.
- This shameless rouge caused every inhumane treatment meted out to
Nigerians at Embassies of the Western World Countries, destroyed the
value of our Naira and our economy.
General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Rtd.):
This dictator has also been part and parcel of coups in Nigeria. Here
are his brief records.
- He supported the annulment of June 12, 1993 elections.
- He ran the affairs of Nigeria for 6 months and he became a
multimillionaire. He established a foundation in his name in the United
States with this ill-gotten money.
- While presiding over the affairs of Nigeria, he refused to meet with
the winner of June 12 presidential elections for peaceful resolution.
Rather he committed treasonable felony by giving access to International
murderers to unjustly murder Chief M. K. O. Abiola. By that
unpatriotic act, he murdered genuine democracy. We wonder then what
Jesse Jackson and the Chicago State University found in this enemy of
democracy that makes them feel that he is the right person in Nigeria to
be engaged in lecture on democracy.
- He committed another treasonable felony when he negotiated with
Obasanjo and assured him that he would be the next president regardless
of the votes of Nigerians. The negotiation includes the handing over to
Babangida otherwise the military will take over. Is this the kind of
democracy Jesse Jackson and Chicago State University want Abubakar to be
teaching Africans?
GENERAL MUHAMMAD BUHARI (Rtd.)
He is also a dictator who overthrew a democratic government. Before
Babangida extinguished his administration, he unjustly arrested human
rights activists and incarcerated them without trial. He later colluded
with General Abacha who overthrew him to establish the Petroleum Trust
Fund (PTF). He headed the PTF, which was scrapped by the current
administration because of misappropriation of funds. Buhari is also a
looter.
With the above records Nigerians feel insulted by the honor being
accorded to our killers who are willing pawns in the hands of masters who
never wish us well. For killing Chief M. K. O. Abiola and for cooperating
to install Olusegun Obasanjo who is another boy of the Masters, Abubakar
was made a United Nation Special Envoy to the Great Lakes Region. This
is a bad omen. Visas are being granted to these criminals and our people
at home are being frustrated and punished by Counsels at various
Embassies because of their misgovernance. Nigerians and their friends
are urged to take their lives into their hands.
Ten buses are readily available, and more will be rented, if necessary.
Five are already full and we extend a heartfelt appreciation to those
Nigerians and their friends who have registered to go to Chicago. Please
call the National Conscience Party on (301) 925-4496 or email us at
ncp11@juno.com.
PROTEST! PROTEST!! AND PROTEST!!! THIS IS YOUR LIFE.
