Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Continued from Part 1

bama has been doing his best despite the frustration from the Republicans, especially those in the House of Reps. But, all along, majority of Americans have been watching and taking notice of his effort and have just rewarded him with a re-election.

Obama is blessed because, always, his political enemies scatter in defeat. Obama defeats his political opponents with ease even when nobody gave him any chance of success. Obama defeated Hilary Clinton, the wife of the beloved President Bill Clinton, the political machine, in 2008, during the primaries; he defeated McCain, the war hero, in the 2008 presidential election; and, he has just defeated Mitt Romney, the financial/business machine. Instead of some Republicans voting against Obama, they ended up endorsing him: Colin Powell, Michael Bloomberg (an Independent), the mayor of New York City, and many other Republicans not only endorsed Obama, but, also voted for him.

While George Bush fumbled during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and was heavily criticised for mishandling things then, Obama excellently handled things during Superstorm Sandy, and then earned the respect and adoration of many including some Republican heavy weights. Imagine that Former President George Bush, the 43rd President of the United States, a republican and the man Obama succeeded, voted for Obama instead of Romney. Can you believe that? Bush claimed that he mistakenly voted for Obama instead of Romney, but, for this writer, the "mistake" was deliberate on the part of George Bush. Bush knows for sure the pains, sufferings, hardship, financial calamity, national disgrace, foreign hatred and outrage his government inflicted on America. So, he (Bush) didn't want another destructive president like himself.

Just as the Bible in Malachi 3:12 says "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land, says the LORD Almighty"; Obama the blessed, has been doing things differently (he's a builder and not a destroyer), he has been cleaning Bush's mess, now America is regaining the international respect lost during the Bush's era. He (George Bush) loves what he's seeing; so, he wants Obama to remain the president inorder to continue his good work.

Just one instance to buttress Bush's failure: The AP of Dec 29, 2011 wrote: "Hurricane Katrina not only pulverized the Gulf Coast in 2005, it knocked the bully pulpit out from under President George W. Bush, according to two former advisers who spoke candidly about the political impact of the government's poor handling of the natural disaster. "Katrina to me was the tipping point," said Matthew Dowd, Bush's pollster and chief strategist for the 2004 presidential campaign. "The president broke his bond with the public. Once that bond was broken, he no longer had the capacity to talk to the American public. State of the Union addresses? It didn't matter. Legislative initiatives? It didn't matter. P.R.? It didn't matter. Travel? It didn't matter." Dan Bartlett, former White House communications director and later counselor to the president, said: "Politically, it was the final nail in the coffin.""

Bush knows that he was a bad president, but, that Romney, if elected, would be worse (president) than him. So, with that at the back of his mind, he stepped into the voting booth and voted for the better candidate irrespective of his party affiliation. Just think of it: A man who served two terms as the President of the United States of America and has been voting since he was 18, claiming that he was misled (by the voting machine) into voting for another party's candidate. If that was the case, then it re-affirmed the fact that something inexplicable works in favour of Obama and that must have made the former president to commit the political blunder, advantage Obama. The dailycurrant.com of Nov. 06, 2012 wrote how "George Bush Accidentally Votes For Obama":

"Former US president George W. Bush accidentally voted for Barack Obama today at a polling place near his Crawford, TX home. According to local reports, the two-term Republican was confused by the instructions on his electronic voting machine and mistakenly cast a ballot he intended to discard. Witnesses say Bush argued with poll workers for several minutes afterwards in an effort to redo his vote, but in accordance with state law they ultimately denied his request. The embarrassing incident may have gone unnoticed if it weren't for a local newspaper reporter who happened to be voting in the next booth. Suzanna Everett, a politics correspondent for the Waco Times witnessed the entire ordeal and crafted a cunning scheme to make it public.

Barred by ethics rules from using knowledge gained within a polling station, Everett waited for Bush to leave the facility and ambushed him with a trick question designed to fool him into revealing the news himself: "Mr. President Fox News is reporting that you've accidentally voted for Barack Obama. Would you care to comment?" Thinking that his mistake had already been found out, Bush sought to minimize the damage: "Yes unfortunately because of the incompetence of the folks who designed the ballot, my vote counted for the other guy," Bush responded. He then attempted to explain exactly how the mishap occurred: "First of all, everything was very mis-maladjusted on the screen. You shouldn't put the senators and the congress people and the presidents all jumbled together like that. It's too crowded. Just confuses folks." Bush then explained that after marking the wrong candidate, he sought to correct his error by clicking the red "Cast Ballot" button, thinking that it was designed to 'cast away' the ballot and bring up a fresh one: "Usually red means stop and green means go. I thought I was stopping"" Wonderful, isn't it?

Romney still finds it hard to accept the fact that the election is over and that he lost woefully. He's still making divisive comments, and, for his Republican Party as well as others, that's unacceptable. After its landslide defeat in two subsequent elections, the Grand Old Party (GOP) or Republican Party still doesn't know what hit it, and, Romney's careless comments is an anathema to a party that wants to rebuild. Therefore, the Republican Party has decided to exorcise the spirit of Romney from the Party and have asked him (Romney) that it would be better if he leaves the party. That's just subtlety declaring Romney a "persona non grata" to the party. That was just coming so quickly (only about two weeks after the presidential election). The Washington Post of 17 November 2012 wrote:

"Ten days after failing to sail into the White House, Mitt Romney is already being tossed overboard by his party. The former Massachusetts governor - who attracted $1 billion in funding and 59 million votes in his bid to unseat President Obama - has rapidly become persona non grata to a shellshocked Republican Party, which appears eager to map out its future without its 2012 nominee. Romney was by all accounts stunned at the scale of his Nov. 6 loss, dropping quickly from public view after delivering a short concession speech to a half-empty Boston arena. Then came a series of tin-eared remarks this week blaming his loss on Obama's "gifts" to African Americans and Hispanics, among others - putting him squarely at odds with party leaders struggling to build bridges with minorities". This would be a topic of another day!

Romney, during the campaign, pretended to be serious, but, Americans knew that he was faking. Despite the fact that he campaigned even on the Election Day, he was unable to make any headway, even McCain received more votes in 2008 than him. The Psalm 127:1-2 tells us that "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep". Romney laboured in vain and all his effort up ended in dust and nothingness. He was so over-confident of victory that he prepared only a victory speech, and refused to prepare a concession speech, at the same time, on the eve of Election Day. That was arrogance at its best. The usual thing has been for contestants to prepare victory and concession speeches at the same time in case the election goes either way. But Romney was cork-sure of victory that it never crossed his mind that his opponent was cruising to landslide victory. The White Press gave him false hope, but, the reality has finally set in and he's now licking the wounds of his defeat.

That's the problem: Some whites think that their colour confers on them intelligence. Obama's election has re-confirmed that when the "game" is fair, the black will surmount obstacles to emerge victorious over the white. Obama organized a venturous election volunteers' organization unheard of in the history of politics any where in the world before. Obama used the internet to his advantage. While Romney was running to the money bags for campaign contributions, Obama effectively used his grassroots' campaign organization to raise all the money he used for his campaign, relying on the "common people" vis--vis Romney's reliance on the money bags. Obama's army of volunteers and supporters were giving their widow's-mite, some contributing as little as 5 Dollars each, and that gave the campaign millions of dollars every month during the heat of the campaign. The Obama's campaign team and volunteers have grown into a formidable political force that they are moving on to the next level. This was what Olivier Knox, of Yahoo News wrote:

"President Barack Obama's re-election campaign machine is asking supporters to weigh in on what could be one of the most important questions in politics: What do we do next?

Campaign manager Jim Messina - who recently visited the White House, and joked that his next move would be to try to become a red wine expert in Italy - sent out a survey to the operation's e-mailing list.

"Your feedback is crucial in determining how we continue to work together," he said. "Our work isn't over. We didn't do all this just to win a campaign. We have more progress to make, and there's only one way to do it: together."

The massive operation - thousands upon thousands of volunteers, "neighbourhood teams," giant mailing lists, a second-to-none fundraising effort - helped give Obama two terms. After 2008, it briefly became a grassroots lobbying organization, only to revert to a presidential campaign when he launched his re-election bid. And now?

What would you choose as the top priority for these organizations in the weeks and years to come?

  • Passing the President's legislative agenda

  • Supporting candidates in upcoming elections

  • Training a new generation of leaders and organizers

  • Working on local issues that affect our communities

(Another interesting question: "Are you interested in running for elected office yourself?")"

The Republican Party is going to stay long in the political wilderness and is turning into a moribund political party, and, unless the party re-invigorates itself by casting off old-fashioned ideas, beliefs and the master-slave mentality which have become obsolete in this era, it's doomed. For a long time to come, Democrats would continue winning the United States' Presidential elections as long as they nominate the right candidate at any particular election time. The belief that America belongs to the whites has faded and they (the whites) may soon be pushed into the minority in "their own America". So, it's incumbent on the political parties to be open to the fact that Hispanics and blacks are turning into major political forces and should be courted. The Democrats understand this and have been reaping from it. The GOP needs these races (people) to remain politically relevant in America.

Now, let's thank the President for:
