oseph had dreams of how great he would become. He dreamt his parents and brothers would bow down to him. Probably, he had anticipated the journey would be smooth. He was going to climb up the ladder of success for the Lord, but instead ended up being beaten up by his brothers, thrown into a pit, sold as a slave, implicated of rape, and thrown into jail. And this was not really what he had in mind. He had thought he was going to be great but here he was, moving from one trouble to another. Maybe he had thought at some points, was the Lord actually real? Are His words true? Were these dreams from the Lord or was he just thinking too much of himself? Maybe he had doubts that his dream will come through eventually. But fast forward 13 years later he interpreted a dream for Pharaoh and ended up second in command in Egypt. 9 years after that his brothers bowed down to him and then his dad bowed down to him too. It took 22 years before his dream came true. Are you almost giving up on your dreams? All the experiences you've had seem to take your dream even farther away from you.
