here is no greater need for revival than now. The scripture says: "If my people who are called by name shall humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land" (1 Chronicles 7:14). There is so much decadence everywhere. God is reaching out to us for a deeper relationship with Him. If you have lost the fire of revival you once had then this is the time to seek the face of God afresh and have this fire rekindled. Let God light you up so you can burn for Him. Enough of the coldness and lack of fire. It is time to be torched by the fire of the Holy Ghost so you can touch the world for Jesus. Get fired up!

We are in a season where the gospel of convenience has swept through the land. Once upon a time it use to be a sacred thing to be called a 'Man of God' but today that name is being ridiculed to the high heavens. We now have a lot of magicians in suit prowling from pulpit to pulpit. They speak guile with their mouth and will not speak the truth to their congregation so they can manipulate them easily.

There was a story about this fiery old revival preacher named Peter Cartwright who was famous for telling it like it was. He was preaching one time near Washington D.C. and the people of the church heard that Andrew Jackson was coming to visit. So they pulled Mr. Cartwright aside and said, "Listen Peter, the President is going to be here on Sunday and we know that sometimes you can get kind of offensive, so would you tone it down. We don't want to upset the President." So Peter got up in the pulpit the next Sunday and his first three sentences were these. "I understand that the President of the United States, Andrew Jackson is with us this morning. I have been asked to be guarded in my remarks. Andrew Jackson will go to Hell if he doesn't repent." The church was appalled, but when worship was over Andrew Jackson grabbed Mr. Cartwright's hand, shook it and said, "Sir, if I had an army of men like you I could whip the world."

The world is terribly sick and we need more men like Peter Cartwright who will say it like it is. The 'feel good' gospel has not helped us. Men may not like you for speaking the truth but at the end of the day, they will come to reckon with what you have said. Don't live for the approval of men otherwise you will die by their rejection. When the world wants you to tone it down, you take it a tone higher. The only people who are mad at you for speaking the truth are those people who are living a lie. Don't let anybody stop you from declaring the whole counsel of God. We need the revival of the gospel truth in our various places of worship. There's been a war against the truth but no matter how long it takes for the truth to be buried, it will definitely come to light. The truth of God's word is incontrovertible; people may attack it and the ignorant may deride it but at the end of the day, it will stand the test of time. The truth is still the truth even if no one believes it and a lie is still a lie even if everyone believes. We must not be deceived, whatsoever a man sows, he will surely reap. The truth doesn't cost you anything except for speaking it but a lie could cost you everything. It's better to be slapped with the truth than be embraced with a lie. Think about it!
