n a very sunny day, the most powerful magnifying glass will not ignite a paper if you keep moving the glass. But if you focus and hold it, the paper will light up. That is the power of concentration. A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, "Where does this road take me?" The elderly person asked, "Where do you want to go?" The man replied, "I don't know." The elderly person said, "Then take any road. What difference does it make?"

How true. When we don't know where we are going, we assume any road will take us there. Do you know where you are going?

Many have given up in this journey of life because they lack the conviction of where they are heading. When you see a man convinced about where he is heading, he becomes invincible to obstacles. According to scientists, the bumblebee's body is too heavy and its wingspan too small. Aerodynamically, the bumblebee cannot fly. But the bumblebee doesn't know this and it keeps flying. When you don't know your limitations, you go out and surprise yourself. In hindsight, you wonder if you had any limitations. The only limitations a person has are those that are self-imposed.

Don't let your environment dictate your destiny. Your route may not be the popular one but don't be swayed by the thoughts that you are alone on that path, not at all; there are some '7000 that have not bow their knees to Baal.' You are definitely not alone, Jehovah Over-do; the God of Special Effects is with you.

Where are you heading? Do you have a mental picture of your final destination? The children of Israel left Egypt en-route to the promise land and certainly they had obstacles, they fought battles, and often time their faith failed but Moses never failed to implant in everyone a mental picture of their final destination.

Don't make friends with mediocrity. Keep your focus. Do not let initial success achieved deprive you from fulfilling purpose. There is no limit to the height you can attain. Make God the architect of your life. Let Him be the picture that you see as you lay the structure for your future.

If you do not pursue your dreams, someone out there will manipulate you or better still use you to achieve their dreams. Don't let dream killers hunt down your dream. Dreams of your future are more valuable than the history of your past. Don't raise a memorial of your past failures and defeat. Constantly look onto the Lord and He will direct your path.

'Nothing shall be impossible unto him who believes.
