OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIAN-AMERICANS AND OTHER IMMIGRANTS IN THE USA ON THE NOVEMBER 08, 2016, PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

here is no presidential election that has engaged the attention and intense interests of all Americans; whether born, native or naturalized; permanent residents or undocumented Americans than this year's presidential election in history. The reasons are obvious. Everyone is involved and the rest people of the world too are captivated by the presidential election, because this great nation has been a force for both good and bad around the world. For the Native Americans; the Indians who originally owned this beautiful land; they face perennial existential threats from the time the Caucasians landed in this land. They have been consigned to the margins, and even now as the attention of everyone around the world is fixed on the presidential election, the media seems to have forgotten or deliberately ignored the news in the Dakotas and the struggle of Native Americans to own and protect their lands. After several decades of marginalization and oppression, the Native Americans are further being pushed to the curb and forgotten by stroke of historical injustice. This land existed way before any of us surfaced in this place, but we seemed to have forgotten the Native Indians and Americans are the real Americans.

The patriots that came from Medieval Europe on the Mayflower could not have survived without the Native Americans. Today, some of the Caucasians who originally came as early immigrants to this land are feeling intensely loathsome toward other latter immigrants as opportunities and privileges are threatened. The power of generic which were once White privileges are under assault as the zeitgeist of Globalization writs large around the world. Things that were once taken for granted as rights and privileges by Caucasians are slipping away and the demographic complexities of New America have compounded these generic powers. In a Unipolar World where yesteryear's enemies have been vanquished, the fissures in American fabric are coming to fore. Immigrants have become the whipping tools in the hands of those Caucasian Americans lagging behind in the New America. It is not surprising that these White Americans have suddenly found a man-made "savior" who could assuage their frustrations and aspirations. That man is the New York demagogue and racist; Donald Trump who has succeeded in galvanizing the marginalized and those who thought they have been shortchanged by the system in a rapidly changing country. But it is not only America that is changing, the world is changing and rapidly too. National boundaries are being dismantled and the blame should not go to immigrants and immigration, but Globalization. If Donald Trump is promising to bring American jobs back to the Rust Belt United States of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, as well as Pennsylvania; he's lying. No one can bring back history without resorting to economic autarchy. The corollary will be a monumental recipe for global trade war which will adversely affect our nation. American capitalism must adapt to a New America.

The only thing that is permanent, we are told is change. Not the type of Trump change to unrealistic and utopian promises couched in decrepit nationalism. Unless you're a high school graduate or someone cocooned in your little world to believe that Mr. Trump would build a wall and compel the Mexican Government to pay for it. You must be coming from Mars to believe that those manufacturing jobs lost to Globalization in Ohio and Pennsylvania, or the coal industry in West Virginia are coming back under Mr. Trump. We Americans are competing with the rest of the world in a Globalized ambience and education, re-education are what should be emphasized and promoted by the United States rather than baiting voters with a glorious but dead past as the Trump Campaign is doing in this presidential election. Americans cannot and should not and can never complain of our jobs being shipped overseas when American products and several tech start-ups are operating overseas. If the average American reads the news around the world and is abreast of global happenings, Mr. Trump and his troglodytes should have been shamed by the ludicrous economic promises he is spewing to his garrulous and ill-informed supporters.

Just as the economic realities in America vis-�-vis the world under Globalization have changed the United States from both within and without, so also the racial demographics of the United States. For the fanatical supporters of Mr. Trump who are shouting themselves hoarse at his campaign rallies, especially in the coal industry and the rest Rust Belt States on the economic sophistry of "bringing back our manufacturing jobs," I will highly recommend the best-selling book "The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century" by The New York Times author/writer and columnist, Mr. Thomas Friedman. Although a bit voluminous at nearly 500 pages, it should be a recommended read to Mr. Trump, and most especially, his supporters so they can be enlightened and educated. The 21st Century is markedly different from the 20th Century, and if, American capitalism is to survive, it cannot be walled-off from the rest of the world. The years when three generations of White Family would work at the GM Motors Assembly Plant in Toledo or Detroit without college education and relevant technological skills for the New Millennium are over. In the technological world of the 21st Century, young African programmers, savvy Korean computer whiz kids, Chinese geniuses and other technologically- brilliant kids are coming for the jobs that Americans cannot do because of lack of training and requisite skills. There are millions of jobs and vacancies right now here in the United States, but few American citizens are qualified to fill them. These jobs will ultimately be filled by Nigerians, Filipinos, South Koreans, Ghanaians, and others in the so-called Third World and other emerging nations. The unique aspect of this Globalized World is that, these non-Americans don't even need to come and live here in the United States. Google, Apple, Yahoo, Facebook and the rest are available across the globe, and these tech giants and social media companies will not limit their search talents within America. These new realities should be taught to young American boys and girls, and most especially Trump supporters so they can adjust and adapt to a New America in the Twenty-First Century World.

In addition to changing economic realities in America and around the world courtesy of Globalization, are the changing demographic realities in the United States. Each racial group in America responds to its history. There are different trajectories the histories of White and Native Americans define this land. Ditto the histories of African-Americans and the Latina/Hispanic racial groups. Latter day immigrants and transplanted Americans like us have unique and distinct history as well in this land. But as the world's melting point, all these racial groups have somewhat cohabited peacefully in the interests of the greatest and most powerful nation on earth. Do not mind those belittling America; believe it or not, America is still the best place to live under this planet earth. She may not be the most perfect nation on earth and no nation on earth can be so described, but in the affairs of lesser mortals and building the most near-perfect nation by sin-soaked children of Adam, this land is it. That was the reason many of us came from far and near; from every corner of the globe to make this land our own. The exceptionalism of the United States is not in the land itself, but in its people; majority of whom journeyed across oceans, survived shipwreck, faced intimidating odds, endured all kinds of hardships and put up with all inconveniences to make their ways to these shores believing that in America, nothing shall be impossible. This is the America we all read about, fancied, admired, drawn to, fantasized and romanticized about while growing up and dreamed about in our original abode with unshakable faith and trust in God that America is a land hope can be fulfilled. No one who dreams ever dare to head for Europe, for Europe is a dream killer. No other clime anywhere in the world offers the limitless opportunities as this great land. This is why America is our America. Many of us driven out of our motherland chose this great land out of choice. We saw other lands too, but there is something Godly and Providential about this land of opportunities and melting pot of cultures. Those who are afraid of immigrants should remember that the United States of America has traditionally been a nation of immigrants and this is the nucleus of her exceptionalism. The monumental technological breakthroughs, our medical and scientific inventions, the arts and the intellectual powers of the United States were the handiworks of the best and finest of our immigrants. When James Truslow Adam coined the phrase "the American Dream" in the early 20th Century, he meant "� a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is a difficult dream for the European upper classes to interpret adequately, and too many of us ourselves have grown weary and mistrustful of it. It is not a dream of motor cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position." It was this American Dream that spurred Donald Trump's grandfather to leave Germany and his mother to leave Ireland for the New World. Generations after generation came here for the same purpose. Trump and his co-travelers are about to abort this dream and we should not allow him and his co-travelers.

The air of toxins and ambience of hatred that have been instigated by Mr. Trump, his anti-immigration, racist and xenophobic rhetoric have brought these values so low in our lifetime. America hasn't been damaged; rather the values that have defined us thus far in our nearly three centuries of nationhood are under assault. As disclosed in this column previously, Trump is spewing this hatred not because of his love for Americans. The Word of Life says there are five things that the Sovereign Lord God Almighty hates according to Proverbs 6:16-19: "There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community." I have never seen anyone aspiring to political office, even in the Third World where the strong men in those days devalued and demeaned their citizens; they at least mask their pride and haughtiness at a minimum than Mr. Trump. From the abundance of the heart, our Lord Jesus Christ told us, the mouth speaks. It is enough to be a rich person, but genuinely rich people don't even boast of their riches. Humility and self-effacement are the hallmarks of those who are richly blessed by the Lord to be genuinely and transparently wealthy. Trump cannot and can never be a tool in the Hands of my Personal Lord and Savior in this current presidential election and those Christian Evangelicals misleading their congregation should read the Holy Bible again.

We are not voting for a Pope, but you expect a modicum of truth at the barest minimum from a person who aspires to be the president of this great land. Trump lies like a rug. It appears lying is second nature to this man and those who accuse Mrs. Hillary Clinton should at least examine the evidence. Please play all the available tapes of Mr. Trump in his campaign speeches about eighteen months ago and compare them with Mrs. Clinton's speeches. The lies of Trump are lengthening by the day. Do the so-called Christian Evangelicals notice these in the two candidates? The Clintons have kept their marriage intact, in spite of the moral indiscretion of former President Bill Clinton. Why are we using different scales to judge a serial monogamist like Donald Trump and a committed woman to family values like Hillary? What would Christian Evangelicals says to Mr Donald Trump, the Groper-in-Chief who is now also America's Divider-in-Chief? He has pitted fear against courage, hope against despair, progressivism against retrogression, and continues to stir up conflicts within American society. The forthcoming presidential election in the United States will define the future in several and many respects of American life. If you are an immigrant and can vote, the choice is obvious. To my Christian brethren still nursing the America Dream, please pray so that the Lord God Almighty is sending a helper to make your American Dream a reality. You may not have a ballot, but you have a tongue. Beginning Friday, November 4 to Sunday November 6, 2016; set three days apart to pray as you have never prayed before to the Sovereign Lord God Almighty to intervene in the Tuesday November 08, 2016 Presidential Election that someone who cares about the plights of widows, the orphans, the fatherless, the foreigners and the immigrants in this beautiful land will become president. Shout and raise your voice to the Eternal Lord God Almighty that a person who wants to make life better and worthy, who respects family values, who promotes harmony and not discourse will win the Tuesday November 08, 2016 Presidential Election. Our Lord Jesus Christ upbraided the Jewish Leaders, the teachers of the law, the Sadducees/Pharisees thus in Matthew 23:23: "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former." Pray during the three-day prayer and, if you can include fasting, cry unto the Lord God of the heavens and the earth that, the man who says is a man of law and order but neglects the vital issues of justice, fairness and mercy will never preside over this great land as the US President in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Prayer is a powerful tool to remove bad leaders and autocrats from their thrones; it is a weapon to change the course of a nation and peoples' lives. That was the reason our Lord Jesus Christ taught His disciples how to pray and commended pray to each and every one of us. People of faith ought to pray without ceasing (Luke 18:1). Pray against the man who is angling to be an autocrat and a dictator desperately seeking to Putinize our nation. Tell the Almighty God never to allow a sadistic person who has no scant or nil regard for women and objectify them including his own mother and daughters to become president of the United States of America. Cry unto the Lord God Almighty and decree that a cocaine user and drug person who is unstable, erratic and temperamental will not preside over this land as our nation's commander-in-chief, Amen. Do not treat the power of your prayers lightly, because James reminded us thus:

"The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops" (James 5:16b-18). We will see next week after Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton will be declared the President-Elect of the United States of America in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

JAMES COMEY AND THE IDES OF OCTOBER: What the Director of the FBI did is what is called the Ides of October? Was he planning to tilt the election in favor of Donald Trump? Whether they like it or not, Mr. Donald Trump will never become the President of the United States of America in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
