"Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is none like me. t sounds so familiar and appeals to the human conscience, when we take refuge in that self-consolatory refrain in all we do to explain our failures or misbehaviors before the Creator: "It's my destiny." Maxims, clich�s and proverbs mostly embedded in traditions, culture and customs which were fudged by Satan and his demons have given the idea of destiny and predestination more legs to stand in the journey of life that human beings now use such unbiblical and ungodly statements and ideas as forms of Divine blackmail. If you are rich, we are told, it is the Lord God Almighty that has made you to be so. Conversely, if you are poor, it is the same Lord God Almighty that has created you to be poor and in want. If you live long, are blessed and successful, again, the Good Lord Almighty purposed it; contrariwise, if you are a failure, cursed and die young, the same Lord God Almighty made all these to happen, because He purposes everyone's destiny prior to our birth. Organized religion has popularized this spiritual gobbledygook for eons that Christianity and Christians too have fallen for these unbiblical and ungodly ideas. When you read through the Word of Life from Genesis to Revelation and allow the Holy Spirit, Who is the Author of the Holy Bible to teach and give you knowledge, your heart is so illuminated that you begin to question all these nonsensical thoughts by tradition and customs aided by organized religion. As I stated here in this column in earlier articles, religion is man's creative and ingenious ways to understand the Creator, whereas, Christianity is the True Lord God Almighty revealing Himself to us as the Lord God Almighty through His Only-begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Here was how our Lord Jesus Christ defined religion to the Jews of His day in Mark 7: 5-10: ""So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?" He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: "'these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. "You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions." And he continued, "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions." On the other hand, our Lord Jesus Christ defined Who He was and He is in John 14: 9-10 this way: "Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.�"
This is what is meant by Christianity-anyone who has a relationship with Christ and he/she is in Jesus Christ as Jesus Christ is in His Father through the Holy Spirit. No human being can think his/her way through knowing the Creator. It's impossible. Only the Creator Himself can make Himself known to His created beings, period! This was what changed the life of one of the greatest human philosophers and exegetists on earth; Paul of Tarsus. He later became Apostle Paul, and through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit defined Christianity this way in Colossians 1: 15-20: " The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross." Consequently, whatever we hear this Jesus say is the indisputable and unvarnished Words of the Creator Himself. If you want to know the True Lord God Almighty the Creator, look unto our Lord Jesus Christ, the exact representative and representation of the Invisible God, Amen.
DESTINY AND PREDESTINATION AS DEFINED BY HUMANS: The ideas of destiny and predestination as used and understood in the affairs of human being are alien and unscriptural. The First Book of the Holy Bible known as Genesis used these statements "And it was good" five times to describe God's creation. Then it capped it all with a superlative and splendid conclusion in Genesis 1: 31: "And behold, it was very good indeed." Against that backdrop, anything contrary to His Goodness must have originated from His enemy, Satan. I once asked the Lord God Almighty why He created Satan when He knew fully well that Satan was bad and would rebel against Him. "Since You are a God Who knows the end from the beginning and are Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, didn't You know Satan would rebel against You so why did You create Him?" The answer the True Lord God Almighty gave shocked me; "I didn't create Satan my son," the Lord replied. I was flummoxed. "Aren't You the Creator of all and everything so why did You say You didn't create Satan?" I demanded. "Truly, I am the Creator of everything and all things, but I didn't create Satan but I created Lucifer Who is the Son of the morning, but later turned himself into Satan, the Opposer and I have created a place I called hell for him and his renegades." Then the Holy Spirit proceeded to lecture me on the Divine Attributes of the Most High and I got it.
The human race has been blackmailing the True Lord God Almighty since the fall of Adam and Eve from yore. When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them the moral choice to eat or not to eat from the trees of knowledge of good and evil from the Garden of Eden. He commanded Adam to till and keep the garden. By creating human beings with freedom of choice and as free moral agents, the Sovereign Lord God Almighty took destination of each and every one on earth off the table. By investing the children of man with power, authority and dominion in Genesis 1: 26 & 28, God Almighty has conscripted each and every one of us into either our individual success or failure. In the journey of life, you have a stake in how you end. In the two forks on the road to eternity, you and me has a choice either to return back to the Creator or end up with Satan, the archenemy of God and the eternal foe of the human race. These ideas of destiny and destination are bunkum; the Holy Bible is not a book of destination or destiny, but book of decision. In Exodus 19: 5, the Sovereign Lord God Almighty told the Israelites thus: "Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession�" In Isaiah 1: 19, He promised: "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land�" Similarly, in Jeremiah 7: 23; He sounded this Fatherly warning: "Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you that it may go well with you." But on the other hand, He spelt out the calamitous consequences that await the Israelites and by extension you and me when we rebel against Him like Satan and his renegade acolytes. In Leviticus 26: 14, He warned: "'But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands�" check out the myriad consequences. Ditto in Jeremiah 17: 27: "But if you do not obey me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses." And many more.
There are seven basic decisions that the Sovereign Lord God Almighty has already purposed and decided for every human being that has been born or will ever be born on this planet earth, which none of us has power over to control or make input. First, the power of life; your soul belongs to the Creator as He disclosed in Ezekiel 18: 4: "Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as of the son is Mine" In other words, the right and power to be born into this world is not yours to make and you and I weren't consulted ever before we were born. Second, your race is not yours to determine or choose whether you will be a white, black or whatever race is not in your power to decide. The third is your gender; whether male or female is also not in your power, just as the angel told Manoah wife, the father of Samson in Judges 13: 3: "The angel of the LORD appeared to her and said, "You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son." The fourth is that part of the world you will be born into as disclosed in Deuteronomy 32: 8: "When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided all mankind, he set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel." The fifth is in which town or city or village each of us will be born and sixthly, which family each and every one of us will be born into on earth according to Acts 16b: 26: "He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands." The seventh and final decision made on the behalf of every human soul by the Holy Spirit of God eve before we got to this earth is the womb of the woman that we will come to life.
Now when all these seven decisions are made, your purpose in life is spelt out by your angels as it was recorded in Judges 13:5: "You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines." It is from this stage that you as a human being, created in the image of God must come in and contribute your quota to actualizing the purpose of your Creator, the Lord God Almighty for your life. No human being is created for failure; that is not what the Bible says. For describing the Lord God Almighty as a Good and Loving God and Who looked at all He created and behold they are very good indeed; failure therefore is not part of His DNA. A sister had been unable to have a husband for many years and all her sisters too were unmarried, even though they wanted to settle down to matrimonial lives. When their mother told me, she was weeping. She knew it was unnatural. She knew and her daughters knew too that it wasn't their destinies to be unmarried. Well, we sought the face of the Holy Spirit and He told us what to tell the mother and the eldest is preparing for her marriage in December 2015. The jinx was broken, Hallelujah! We have told the rest siblings to prepare for their own weddings. Brethren, what are we saying? There is no one in life that the Lord God Almighty has destined for failure, poverty, lack of breakthrough, etc., but Satan and his demons and their human agents are behind all that are bad, evil and ugly in the world.
EMBRACE YOUR GODLY DESTINY: You are placed here for a purpose. Every human being that has lived or will ever live on the planet earth is here for a purpose as determined by your Creator, the Lord God Almighty. It is not in your power to determine your purpose, but it is in your power to discover your purpose. Once you discover why you are here on the earth, you must pursue and give it everything you have in order to accomplish what He has created you to accomplish. Throughout the Word of Life, every name of person mentioned had his/her purpose attached to their personality. Adam, the First Human created had his purposed stated unambiguously in Genesis 2: 15: "The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." Eve his wife and First Woman created was created for this purpose in Genesis 2: 18: "The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Noah was created for a purpose in Genesis 5: 29: ""He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the LORD has cursed." Abraham was created for a purpose in Genesis 17: 5: "No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations." Isaac was born for a purpose in Genesis 22: 18: "�and through your offspring (referring to Isaac) all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." Joseph was born for a purpose as he himself revealed in Genesis 50: 19-20: "But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." He could not be used by the Almighty God to save any lives without occupying the vantage position of prime minister of Egypt. It wasn't that position itself that was God's intention but primarily what Joseph would use that position to accomplish. Moses was born a deliverer, Samuel was born a prophet; David was to be the shepherd of God's people, John the Baptist was to be a forerunner and herald of the Messiah, the Son of God and our Lord Jesus Christ was born for one and one purpose only as disclosed in Matthew 1: 21: "She-(referring to the Virgin Mary)- will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." If you say you are a Christian and you haven't vouchsafed from the Holy Spirit your purpose on this earth, then you are not a Christian.
In 1997 while I was detained by the goons of the foremost Madman of Nigeria, late Sani Abacha, Providence brought a young man in contact with me. He was detained on scrupulous charges as a NADECO man while he was in the military. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that He brought the young man to that horrible place to use him for His purpose. The message was revealed almost twenty years ago, but because the Lord God Almighty is a Covenant-keeping God, the prophecy on the young man's life has come to pass. He was ordained by me in the Spirit by the Lord and he eventually regained his freedom like me and the rest of us in 1998 and today, Pastor Ele Adejoh is being used mightily for God's purpose. We only saw once at the Directorate of Military Intelligence-DMI- detention facility Apapa, Lagos we were herded into and caged by Col Omenka and his killer squad during the Abacha dictatorship. But two months ago while I was in Abuja, Nigeria, I had the privilege and wonderful opportunity to preach in his church at Bwari Abuja. I wept for joy for seeing the fulfillment of God's prophecy on Pastor Adejoh's life. Before our very eyes, the Lord God Almighty is doing what He did in the Holy Bible and history is coming alive as He is the Lord God of yesterday, today and forevermore (Hebrews 13: 8). Hallelujah! What we erroneously referred to as the destinies of human beings as commonly understood in organized religion and among human beings today are different from Biblical standpoint. In the overall scheme of things and the end of the world, the Creator Himself, the Sovereign Lord God Almighty is the One in total control and absolutely in charge. He hasn't left His created beings in doubt as to the generic course of human history. In the Holy Bible, He gave us the concatenation of events from the beginning of creation; why He created the world and the universe, His purpose in every inch of creation, the interplay of forces between angelic beings and humans, the origin of evil, the purpose why He allowed evil to exist, how evil will play itself out and His final triumph over the forces of evil, wickedness and Satan. From Genesis to Revelation, the Lord God Almighty gave us blow-by-blow accounts of events in history and how He and only He is the One shaping history. This is the generic history He superintends over as the Great Alone. Now, in His dealing with us humans, He has left each and every one of us to decide which of the two eternal aisles we want to go with it; consequently, the power of eternal decision as aforesaid resides with each and every one of us. Ultimately our individual decision has both rewarding and harmful consequences. The final choice belongs to each and every one of us. No one's choice is etch on a Rosetta Stone. Do it His own way, you will reap the benefits attached to sound and Godly choice; per contra, do it your own way and the Satan way, the eternal punishment is waiting assuredly as Solomon, the Wisest man who ever lived noted in Ecclesiastics 12: 13-14: "Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil."

I am amazed at how other men of God kept saying Jonathan would win while God revealed HIS true word through you that he won't and some many other true prophecies the Holy Spirit has used you in Nigeria.
