Chicago, Illinois, USA

n the mid-1980s while I was in the university way back in Nigeria, my paternal aunt, Mama Aina Fayemiwo, who we all know as Mama Adeoye (a.k.a Lusedo) called me during the summer break in our home town of Owo, Ondo State. She said she knew I would one day travel to the United States of America and asked when I arrived in the US and news of her demise reaches me, how would I react? The Holy Spirit later showed me that this aunt was a powerful satanic high priestess and a witch. In the early 1990s, one Islamic mullah in Lagos called Alhaji Walihi Mukadam Balogun who lived in Ketu northeast of Lagos sent a message to then military dictator of Nigeria, Gen Ibrahim Babangida that he should be careful between February and June 1990, because a military coup d'état would be staged against him. In early 1997, while I was incarcerated at the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI), Apapa in southeast Lagos by the late Gen Sani Abacha, the Lord Jesus Christ told me that He had taken the spirit of the military tyrant and Sani Abacha would die in less than 18 months. I used the revelation to preach till the day the prophecy was fulfilled the following month. These three prophecies were fulfilled; I left Nigeria and relocated to the United States thirty years later after my paternal witch aunt told me. Gen Ibrahim Babangida was nearly toppled on April 20, 1990 by the failed Orka coup and Abacha died as the True Lord God revealed it to me on June 8, 1998.

How was it possible for a witch and a satanic agent to predict the future? Can Satan predict the future? Is it only the Lord God Almighty Who can predict the future? According to the Holy Bible, Satan can predict the future. In our new book titled: "The Kingdom of Satan Exposed!" my co-author and I gave numerous examples from our real life experiences, the experiences of others and from the Word of God; the Holy Bible, on the powers of Satan, demons and their human agents to predict the future. This is what is known as prophecy.

What is prophecy? Prophecy is a gift of the Holy Spirit that enables believers to know about what is yet to come (1 Corinthians 12:7, 10: "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good…to another prophecy…" The Lord God Almighty is the ONLY ONE WHO knows the future, but Satan also knows some of the events that will take place in the future too. Satan, his demons and their agents can predict the future but do not know all the events that will happen in the future. There is nothing that the True Lord God Almighty wants to do on this earth that He has and will not reveal to His prophets as Amos disclosed in Amos 3:7: "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets." Simply because you are a man or woman of God doesn't mean God Almighty will reveal His plans to you, unless you're His true prophet. There are more than 114 prophecies or future events that will take place on earth before the Advent or Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ which have been revealed in the Holy Bible. Some of these events have already been fulfilled, some are being fulfilled right now before our eyes and the rest are yet to take place. Our Lord Jesus Christ Who is God in flesh gave us a list of 21 major checklists that those of us who are His believer should look out for as concatenation of events that would happen before His Second Coming (Mathew 24: 1-30; Mark 13: 5-37). In the Old Testament, over 100 future events were given by the Lord God Almighty between Genesis and Malachi on the First Coming of the Messiah and they were fulfilled in our Lord Jesus Christ (Genesis 3: 15; Genesis 15:5; Isaiah 9: 6-13; Malachi 3:1-3; 4: 1-6 etc.) The entire Bible can be summed up in one sentence: "The fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and the rise of their children because of the Death of our Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary and His Resurrection from the Dead, period."

Now we should not confuse "prophecy" with "prophesy." To prophecy is to say something that will happen or occur in the future while to prophesy means to say that the Almighty God has told a prophet what will happen or occur in the future. For instance, I have stated in a past article in this column that, if Mrs. Hillary Clinton offers herself for the presidency of the United States in 2016 she will win and become the first woman president of the world's greatest Super-Power. Now that is just mere prophesying and that is not a prophecy. God didn't show me Clinton will become the first woman president of the United States in 2016 so no one can run with it. To prophesy is for a man/woman of God to predict the future based on the human circumstances on the ground and the employment of the wisdom of God through his/her spirit to reveal future events. But such act of prophesying is not a cinch. Apostle Paul did the same thing in 1 Corinthians 7: 10 thus: "To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband." But further in the same chapter in 1 Corinthians 7:12, Apostle Paul gave his own opinion based on the spirit of God in him thus: "To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her." What is onerously of God is prophecy and what it is of a prophet's wisdom is to prophesy, because as 1 Corinthians 14: 32 aptly declared: "The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets." This is where Satan and his demons, including their human agents: wizards, witches, parapsychologists, fortune-tellers etc. come in. Only the Jehovah Lord God Almighty revealed in the Holy Bible can predict the future with accuracy and inexactitude. According to God Almighty in Isaiah 44: 6-7: "This is what the LORD says - Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come - yes, let him foretell what will come." Satan and his demons have read the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation thoroughly and know certain historical landmarks that the True Lord God Almighty had set for world events. These events must occur and so Satan and his demons work around these revealed prophecies in the Bible to also organize events to kibosh their fulfillment.

In Genesis, the Jehovah Lord God Almighty told Papa Abraham this prophecy: "Then the LORD said to him, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions" (Genesis 15:13-14). This was the Exodus that was to take place and exactly 400 years as the True Lord God Almighty predicted, it occurred in Exodus 1:8 that: " Then a new king, who did not know about Joseph, came to power in Egypt." We all knew what happened next. This particular Pharaoh was identified by secular historians as Ramses II who was inhabited by Satan, which led to the cosmic contest between God and Satan and heralded the freedom of the Jewish nation. Throughout the Bible, these spiritual wars between God and Satan, Good and Evil, the forces of God and the Devil are real. When the Lord God Almighty came physically to the earth as a human being in order to free the whole human race from the stranglehold of Satan, because of the sin of our First Parents; Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the demons got the message. They told our Lord Jesus Christ in Mathew 8: 29: "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?" (Emphasize mine). This means Satan and his demons know the time they will eventually be confined to hell forever in the near future. That the demons confessed that there was an appointed time for God's final judgment meant that Satan and his rebellious spirits could predict the future. As at the time they uttered those words during the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, Revelation or the Book of Apocalypse had not been revealed to Apostle John in the Island of Patmos.

Signs to look for between God's True Prophecies and Satan's Predictions: There are signs that differentiate the prophecies of men/women of the True Lord God and Satanic agents. The first sign is not prophetic fulfillments but who does the prophet give glory to as the inspirer of the prophecy? A true prophet of God can utter a prophecy and it will come true while an agent of Satan too can utter a prophecy and it will come true. The Jehovah Lord God Almighty told the Israelites that Satan can move his human agents to utter a prophecy which can come true too in Deuteronomy 13: 1-3: "If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul." So the fulfillment of a prophecy doesn't confirm that a prophet is a man/woman of God or Satanic agent. The first thing is to ask that prophet: on whose authority did you make this prophecy? Who reveals this prophecy to you: God or Satan? No true prophet of God Almighty will take umbrage when asked such a question, but a Satanic agent will scream and take offence. That is the first red flag.

The second sign or litmus test is; does the prophet make a prophecy in the Name of God? In other words, everyone in the church or assembly must hear a statement like this: "The Lord Jesus Christ showed me…" or "The Jehovah Lord God tells me to tell you…" and, if such a prophet utters a statement like the above, that prophecy must take place. In other words, it must be fulfilled as God Almighty Himself said in Deuteronomy 18:20- 22"… a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death." You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?" If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him." Now, when these checklists stated by God Himself here in this quotation are spiritually-analyzed, a prophecy from the Lord God Almighty should be analyzed by other prophets, because Apostle Paul, speaking in the Name of the Holy Spirit gave this instruction in 1 Corinthians 14: 29: "Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said." In other words, any church gathering where a man or woman of God says anything about the future and no other person in the church congregation can corroborate what has just been said is likely to be a fake prophet. I repeat, someone should be able to stand up and say; "Yes, what this prophet has just said is about me" or even more than one person. You know why this is a requirement? Apostle Paul provided the answer in 11 Corinthians 13: 1: "Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses." When a man or woman claims to be a genuine Holy Spirit-filled prophet/prophetess of God and makes a proclamation and no one in the assembly or congregation can confirm the prophecy or prediction, he/she is more likely to be a fake.

The third sign is to examine what is being said or the content of that prophecy. Does it uplift or demoralize the body of Christ? Is it a prophecy of doom, death, war, fire, brimstone and destruction? Is the prophecy about soccer, football, lottery, election results and all those inanities? Never will the prophecy of the True Lord God Almighty be used for these inanities. Even when destruction, war and bad things are about to occur, the Lord God Almighty will tell His prophets/prophetesses to pray and stand in the gap for the person, people, community or a nation. At times, The Holy Spirit will instruct His true prophet to tell that prophecy to those concerned, because the plan of the True Lord God Almighty has always been to give opportunities to sinners to repent and not to destroy them out rightly.

How the gift of Prophecy Is Impacted by God Almighty: There are few human beings born as prophets, like Jeremiah. After a soul has given his/her life to the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the Holy Spirit will show you His gift(s) for you and there are seven ways He will communicate the gift of prophecy to you. Remember, it is the prerogative of the Holy Spirit to choose your gift(s) for your life. You don't choose your gift(s), but you discover those gift(s). The gift of prophecy from the Holy Spirit will be shown to you in seven ways namely: through the Holy Bible, Dreams, Visions, Trances, through Direct Communication, through fellow prophets, and through Satan. Yes, Satan can be used by the Holy Spirit to show a born-again Christian that his or her gift is prophecy, for that particular aspect of your life that Satan attacks so much is that gift that the Holy Spirit has given you. More on these in our book: "The Kingdom of Satan Exposed."

Similarly, there are seven basic questions that anyone with the gift of prophecy should ask in order to exercise that gift efficiently and effectively in line with the Bible namely: What has God revealed to you? What has Satan revealed to what God Almighty has revealed to you? What have you said to what God Almighty has said? What have you said to what Satan has said to what God Almighty has said? What have people said to what God Almighty has said to you? What have you said? Finally, what have you said to what people have said to what God Almighty has said to you?

NEXT WEEK: We will look at the next gift of discerning spirits and how Christians can distinguish between angels and demons.

WORLD PROPHECY: This is huge! Something of global importance, an earth-shattering event and a cosmic occurrence is in the offing in the world. I don't know what it is but the Holy Bible has predicted it and we shall all see it with our very eyes soon. This event is part of end-time prophecy and it's about to take place very, very soon in the next 12 to 24 months. I don't know what it is; I repeat again, I wasn't shown what it is but again, it's HUGE. The whole world will be shocked; from the rising of the sun to the setting of the sun; from the East to the West; from the South to the North, the planet earth is about to witness a catastrophic event. The Divine Hand of God Almighty, the Creator of the heavens and the universe, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is about to intervene in the affairs of humanity. The world media, the commentariat, the scientists, the astrologers, the men and women of earthly wisdom and their ilk will be talking their heads out but will not be able to explain but those who know the True God will be unshaken and unperturbed. What is it? I wasn't shown but was only told (Luke 21:11 & 25).

I have been repeating the above prophetic words almost a year since this column debuted and as events unfold around the world, I will not comment on the unfolding drama in Syria. Also in the news is the current rapprochement between Washington DC and Tehran. We shall see.

Can A Military Coup Occur In Nigeria Now? I have never done his since this column debuted a year ago but this is very important after watching the show of shame that took place at the Nigerian Congress penultimate week. Any avid watcher of Nigeria's political experiment-because it is still an experiment fifteen years after the military ceded the stage-one is constrained to analyze the end product of this political experiment. For someone who was among the main top shots that put their lives on the line to rid Nigeria of military dictatorship, it's almost comical, indeed painful that I am ruing the back of the military. This is not the democracy we fought for in the 1990s and I am happy I got out of dodge in one piece. But some home truths are necessary, no matter how agonizing those truths are in the face of an incipient collapse of the Nigerian state.

Nigeria is dying; this house is caving in. The brainless and selfish Nigerian elite seemed carefree and unconcerned. The tiff that began in the PDP few weeks ago is spiraling out of control and if care is not taken, it will consume President Jonathan and the Nigerian nation. There is a genuine fear among Nigerians, both at home and abroad that the country can disintegrate. Nigeria's march to existential anarchy may have been stoked by the United States Intelligence Report but the threat of disintegration is real and distinct. The maudlin chafe at Nigeria's splitting up by Gen Babangida in an interview the other day is no guarantee Nigeria will remain one and intact. After all Mr. Babangida is a veritable magus of the current Nigeria's debilitating miasma and many of his bedfellows that are treating an incipient disintegration of Nigeria as a visceral fear are self-seekers. The current political flimflam between Mr. Jonathan and his splinter anarchists within the ruling party may become a neck-speed ride to the arms of a concerned military wing of the Nigeria's ruling elite. The 15-year old democracy will be crushed and a full-blown military regime may save Nigeria from disintegration. The thieving ruling elite may prefer the military option rather than allow the main opposition access to power at the center in 2015. Mr. Jonathan cannot win a credible, fair and free presidential election in 2015, unless he cheats. He has completely squandered all his political goodwill and his good luck of six years by 2015.

The verdict among majority of Nigerians, both at home and abroad is that he should go back to his creek home. Mr. Jonathan has become a national train wreck and he's not likely to go quietly. Since he won't be eased out electorally, the military option is discernible and clearly on the table for his political foes. Do majority of Nigerians want the military option? Yes, if Mr. Jonathan tries to fix the presidential election in 2015, because he will get a thorough shellacking. The opposition should be able to spank and whip Jonathan silly in 2015. The Yoruba-speaking people of West Africa have a saying that "a tree cannot make a forest," and "no single individual can thump chest and introduce himself as a collective." The Ijaw-speaking people are a minority group in Nigeria's geo-political equation and if democracy is a game of numbers, Jonathan is toast come 2015. By outsourcing his public relations job to political nobodies like Asari-Dokubo, the rehabilitated Niger Delta war-mongers and their bed-fellows with their incendiary outbursts, Jonathan has diminished his national standing from a Nigerian leader to an Ijaw jingoist. Jonathan lacks the steel to be a bully because he has no pulpit. As the new PDP rightly asserted, Jonathan cannot and will never win a second term without those he's feuding within his party. His balance sheet so far is nothing to write home about.

What will be the reactions of the West to a full-blown military regime in Africa? First, the frayed politicians will be out of business. It's likely the rambunctious and duplicitous elements among them may find themselves back in power in the military government, depending on which wing of the military stages a successful coup. For Nigerian plebeians who have endured so much abuse and maltreatment in the hands of the politicians for the past 15 years of the so-called "demonstration of craziness," not much will change; again depending on the complexion of the newly-minted Nigerian military. If the radical wing strikes and got rid of the leading lights among the political thugs, the poor should back-slap. It may presage a new day in Africa's most rudderless giant nation. Watch out for those politicians who will manage to escape in an event of a bloody putsch by the Young Turks. If it's the conservative wing that strikes and triumphs, welcome to another Uriah Heep. It's going to be business as usual. But with the United States making rapid progress in energy dependence, there is not much the West can do to return Nigeria into a democracy soon after a military putsch. The new military chaps must be ready to convince Nigerians both at home and abroad, including the international community why they intervene and reassure the world of returning Nigeria back to the path of genuine democracy as soon as possible.

Why Opeyemi Bamidele Cannot Be Ekiti Governor in 2014: It's legitimate for any politician to aspire to higher ground, but when a politician is over-ambitious, it should be out rightly condemned. Both Opeyemi Bamidele and Kayode Fayemi are my friends and we all put our heads on the chopping block to rescue Nigeria from the ferocious grips of Sani Abacha in the 1990s. While Kayode added much-needed fillips to our pro-democracy efforts in those wacky years from his base in London, UK; Opeyemi came here in the United States to mobilize and sensitize the international community. Both Fayemi and Bamidele are now beneficiaries of the democracy struggles, but MOB or whatever he's called is biting more than he can chew. The way he's going about his over-ambition in becoming governor is foolish.

Public service should be pursued with clear objectives. Anyone who offers him/herself for serving the people should know the right time and the mood of the people. Opeyemi is in Congress and hasn't served his full term out so why the hurry to become Ekiti Governor? Only of recent did it even become public knowledge that he's from Ekiti. For many years while he was a commissioner in Lagos State, he never identified with the people he now wants to lead. Turning his governorship ambition into a personal contest between him and our friend, Kayode is politically immature. I hope Opeyemi will see reason and allow Governor Fayemi to complete the revolution he has started in Ekiti State.
