he case was an open and shut matter. If justice were to prevail, it shouldn't take the jury much scratching of heads and agony to render the guilty verdict. But in this matter, the accused was a well-placed and rich individual. He was rich enough to buy justice and innocence, for in the affairs of the human race, the best justice is the best money can buy. But in the realm of eternal justice, the Lord God Almighty detests injustice with passion and abhors double standards of whatever sorts and in any clime. The Sovereign Lord God Almighty, the Creator of the heavens and the universe and the One who adjudicates and dispenses justice in all realms warned in His Holy Book: "You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor." (Leviticus 19:15). Similarly, the King of kings and the Lord of lords warned against bribery to pervert the course of justice and bend the rules by the powerful and the rich in human affairs in Exodus 23:8 thus: "Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent."

But the victims of the rich man who was charged with murder had no money, power and privilege and so could not win their case against the powerful. Every bystander present at the shooting incident swore the rich man indeed pulled the trigger that felled the victim. In an ambience of fear, likely reprisals and intimidation, some of the witnesses to the gruesome murder butted out while some were bought out and simply stayed away. Since the accused big man was rich, he bought himself the best lawyers in town. The legal brains, that thrived on legal jujitsu and cared no hoot about ethical values went to work and introduced all kinds of abracadabra. No wonder our Lord Jesus Christ singled out lawyers for the greatest woes imaginable waiting for abettors of injustice and in- decency on the Other Side when He cursed them thus in Luke 11:46: "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them." Because of money, power, fame and privileges, a murderer was let off the hook and the man bought freedom. His victim's family was poor so they went home dejected, forlorn and lost.

But that was not the end of the story. As journalists from the print and broadcast media jostled for interviews with the "freed" man accused and acquitted of murder and as he too savored the moment for spectacular photo-op, he lost his balance. He fell on the staircase of the steps of the Court House and had a heart attack. First case responders and paramedics rushed to the scene to help and as the freed rich man was being conveyed to the hospital, he died inside the ambulance. He reaped what he sowed thus confirming the unchanging and evergreen words of the Lord God Almighty in Genesis 8:22: "As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease." And Apostle Paul echoed similar words of the Sovereign Lord God Almighty in Galatians 6:7: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."

This true life story plays itself out repeatedly in the course of human affairs. In 1995, the United States was gripped with the sensational and macabre trial of one of African-American football greats known as the OJ Simpson Murder Trial. The Orenthal James Simpson Murder Case was between the State of California and the football great accused of killing his former wife; Nicole Brown Simpson and her white boyfriend, Ron Goodman. The murder case often described as the greatest murder trial of the 20th Century for want of apt hyperbole was partly racial and partly celebratory of the bizarre, the ugly and the torrid in the American Justice System. America, our America still prides itself as the most litigious nation in the world celebrated the oddball and outlandish characters than true heroes as pictures of OJ Simpson dotted the covers of virtually all magazines in the land; from defunct Newsweek, iconic Time to the rest. It was a celebration of banality and vanity at the worst and OJ Simpson, a murderer relished the attention and celebratory fixation on him. His legal defense team soon became America's legal gold standard as many of the lawyers today have become legal analysts on most America's cable channels. The nauseating aspect of the glow of notoriety of the OJ Simpson Trial was the sensation and titillation aroused in many Americans of the cause célèbre, much more than the act of taking the lives of two precious souls. The theatrics dominated public discourse and the talking heads on television regaled audiences with the legal jargons than the commission of murders. At last, power, privileges and fame triumphed and OJ Simpson got-off on legal technicalities. His victims, a white waitress who married a black sport icon and her cheating boyfriend friend didn't come from rich backgrounds to avenge their murders in death and thus died for nothing. Although OJ Simpson walked off a free man, his foolish pride soon ate him up and his inner demons later put him in further trouble with the law. At least, his past caught up with him. His comeuppance came and he is currently serving a -33 year jail time for an unrelated matter.

In Nigeria in the late 1990s, a great evil of monumental proportion descended on the national space. The late Sani Abacha of cursed memory and the Madman of Nigeria seized our peace and joy. He unleashed terrible pain and anguish on the nation as fear stalked the land and evil walked on four legs, literally on the national consciousness. Among some of the base and demonic characters that Abacha conscripted into his Nigerian version of Tom-Tom Macoutes was an ugly soul known as Zakari Biu. I was haplessly manhandled by this wormwood too during my time at the dreaded Alagbon Detention Center, Ikoyi in the 1990s as we struggled to rescue our benighted nation from the rapacious fangs of the wraith known as Sani Abacha. Among several atrocities committed by Zakari Biu and his killer squads under the tyrannical rule of Sani Abacha was the death of Mr. Bagaudo Kaltho, a journalist based in Kaduna. Kaltho was a fine young man who put his head on the chopping block as the rest of us in the underground guerrilla journalism of that era. As a staff correspondent with The News and Tempo, Kaltho sent fearless dispatches from his base in Kaduna and incensed at his fearless report and news, Biu's men planted a bomb which detonated and killed the young man. Kaltho was burnt beyond recognition. Zakari Biu denied any complicity but later recanted, but later again gave veiled hint of the handiwork of his men in the dastardly murder of Bagaudo Kaltho.

But that was not the end of the storied murder of Baguado Kaltho. Almost a decade and half after Zakari Biu orchestrated the murder of Kaltho by bomb in Kaduna, the unchanging words of the Lord God Almighty in Obadiah 1:15: "The day of the LORD is near for all nations. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head," ran through and through before our very eyes in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In 2010, a bomb blast incident occurred in Abuja and the first son of Zakari Biu, Mr. Tahir Zakari Biu died in the bomb blast. His father murdered a fellow human being via a bomb blast almost fifteen years earlier and now, the Law of Retributive Justice caught up with Biu himself and as he has done to other people's children so also was done to his own son.

These three isolated events but spiritually connected incidents starkly brought to fore the inevitability of God's Law of Sowing and Reaping. In this column on three occasions, I listed the various atrocities that were committed by Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark of the PDP and what the future had in stock for him. For those regular readers of this column, I have disclosed numerous times my apolitical stance in the matter of political party. I am not a card-carrying member of either the PDP or APC and I do not belong to any of the political parties in Nigeria. I am a spokesman of the Living God. The audacity of such declaration emanates from the assurance of the One Who called me, since I didn't call myself. Mr. Mark is jollifying with his friends and hangers-on in Benue State for "winning" last week's Senatorial Re-Run. His spokesman has gone to town to trumpet the victory of his paymaster and the sing and songs in the camp of the bad guys have reached unbearable decibel. In fact, Mr. Mark himself has come out to thump chest with an air of braggadocio his "victory" tongue in cheeks that the APC cannot do anything about his so-called victory. Yes, Mr. Mark is marking and celebrating his pyrrhic victory which the APC cannot do something about. But I know and have someone who can do something about Mr. Mark's puerile victory. His Name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Lord of lords and King of kings. He is the One Who sent me and on His authority I make bold of the aftermath of Mark's phony victory. To Him now we all go for final and irrevocable adjudication.

The Lord Jesus Christ Who called me in truth and deed; In Whose Authority I speak and make declarations about matters of my native land, the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark of Benue State did indeed win the last Benue State Senatorial Election, let him savor his election victory with peace and life. But if Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark hired political thugs and disrupted polling booths and intimidated voters; if Mr David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark bribed voters and influenced the consciences of poor people in violation of Your Commandment that we should not offer bribe to pervert justice; if the election victory of Mr David… was not legally obtained and now he wants to be making laws for the citizens of Nigeria, may something happen to Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark .before he takes the oath of office as a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. There are two types of victories in Divine Leadership; the victory at the polls and the victory at the Court of Eternal Justice. You control both O Lord God Almighty as the Sovereign Lord God Almighty of the heavens and the earth and all that are in them.

If You O Lord God Almighty are the One Who truly called me and gave me Your Spirit, then Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark of Benue State will take his noble seat at the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly at Three Zones Annex at the National Assembly Complex Abuja Federal Republic of Nigeria and make laws for the Nigerian citizens. However, if Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark did not truly win the last Senatorial Re-Run Election in Benue State but paid his way through by offering bribes to voters in order to "win" the election, intervene and do not let this man return to the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly at Three Zones Annex at the National Assembly Complex Abuja Federal Republic of Nigeria and make laws for the Nigerian citizens. You warned that You the Almighty God hate bribes, because it perverts the cause of natural, secular and spiritual justice, hence all perpetrators shall face your wrath first here in life and later at Your Seat of Eternal Justice. Follow through Your Words and Judge Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark accordingly. I do not want his judgment to be hidden; neither should it tarry nor be delayed but I want it to be swift and every ear in Nigeria that will hear it will tingle. Eternal Lord God Almighty Who warned that those who obtain power by crook means and intimidation shall be swiftly and summarily judged. Consequently, if Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark paraded thugs, killers, assassins and base fellows along with his enforcers on the day of the Benue State Senatorial Re-Run and succeeded in "winning" the election and is now boasting at his press conference that the APC could not do anything about it; You the Sovereign Lord God Almighty can and should do something about it. Daddy, You know I am not a card-carrying member of any of the political parties in Nigeria and I do not favor one political party than the other.

O Lord God Almighty Father, You were the One that called me, O Sovereign Lord God Almighty and You put Your Words in my mouth and I say it as directed by Your Holy Spirit. Daddy, You said it in Your Word that as the Lord God Almighty that You "…will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless" (Isaiah 13:11). Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark is sticking it to our faces and said haughtily during his so-called victory press conference in Oturkpo Benue State last Saturday that he was invincible and no one could question his "victory."As surely as You live and Your Glory fills both the heaven and the earth, bring Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark down and cut him to size from his prideful ten feet tall and send a powerful message to his likes in Nigeria who think they can get away with election fixing and bribery of voters. I want You My Lord God Almighty to stretch Your Hands into the affairs of Nigeria and make Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark pay heavily for his arrogance, power theft, election rigging, bribery, intimidation and death of political opponents. Turn the "victory" of Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark into a pyrrhic one in the Mighty and Precious Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Demonstrate for all to see that You were the One Who called me indeed and I did not take this work upon myself, neither did I apply for it nor lobby for the job.

There are three retributive comeuppance justice acts that I want You to perform in the eyes of all Nigerians both at home and abroad so that those who hear it and its fulfillment will tell others and Your Holy Name will be glorified.

First, if Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark stole last week Senatorial Election Re-Run and did not really win the election, as he is preparing to fly from Benue to Abuja to be inaugurated as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, may the aircraft that Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark will fly into Abuja crash in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.

Second, if Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark did not transparently and genuinely win the last Senatorial Re-Run Election in Benue State, but used his money, power, influence, bribery, manipulation and intimidation to ""win" You O! Lord God Almighty did not give Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark his so-called ""victory," let the motor car or journey by road that Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark will embark upon from Benue State to Abujja to be inaugurated be involved in a ghastly motor accident that has never happened before between Oturkp or Makurdi to Abuja in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Thirdly, if the so-called election victory of Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark of last week Saturday was a fluke and was bought; the election was neither the true expression of the will and legitimate votes of the Benue people in the South Benue Senatorial Zone and You the Almighty Lord God of the heavens and the universe did not approve of the so-called election victory of Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark, may this man; Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark suffer massive heart attack as he is being sworn in at the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Three Arms Zone, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria. When any of this Eternal Judgment happens, Nigerians will be afraid and those that are aspiring to public offices at any level, form or shape will fear You and desist from injustice and will never be involved in election fixing and election theft. It is not right for anyone who wants to make laws for the generality of Nigerians to be a law breaker. It is moral, unethical and unlawful. Although Nigerians are powerless to talk truth to power; poverty has eaten into the lives of our poor people that their leaders rub it down their faces with careless abandon; whereas Nigerians are fed up with bad leaders and are helpless to make them account for their stewardship; You the Almighty Lord God look down from Your Tabernacle in heaven and You hearken unto those of us who called on you in truth and deed and cleanse our land of filth and immorality. Use Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark as a public example of how not to win election this year in Nigeria. For as the Lord God Almighty, You said in Your Word in Isaiah 45:19: "I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness;…' I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right." Today, at this hour and at this moment in history, show that You O! Lord God Almighty are in this land and have come to cleanse our land, the Federal Republic of Nigeria and I am Your true and anointed spokesperson and one of the gatekeepers you have anointed and sent to the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. You said in Your Word O! Lord that "I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds" (Jeremiah 17:10). Let these words be fulfilled in the matter of Mr. David Bonaventure Alechenu Mark in Nigeria this year, this hour and at this epochal moment in Nigerian history so that all who witness Your awesome power will fear, tremble and worship at Your feet in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
