After more than two years at the presidency it has become crystal clear that smartness is not one of the qualities of Goodluck Jonathan, at least not the kind of smartness that will benefit the generality of the Nigerian people; we know he is smart in other ways where personal and selfish interests are concerned. Seeing campaign posters of Jonathan all over Abuja well ahead of the 2015 presidential elections is a bad sign and is an unwelcome development. Reading the lousy poster and its "2015: No vacancy in Aso Rock!" message just brought back terrible memories of the Babangida/Sani Abacha years of the locust. I know the locusts we face this time are bigger, fatter and by far more selfish than the Babangida/Abacha locusts combined, but we are more than able as a people to rid the land of greedy and failed louts like Jonathan.

The monumental failure of Jonathan despite the huge opportunities presented to him, excessive goodwill from the Nigerian people that he abused roguishly and international support from overseas are clear indications that Jonathan is not only unfit for another term but unsuitable and ineffective to serve the Nigerian people and meet their needs. He ate plentifully with a billion naira food budget while the majority starved and went without, he took care of the medical needs of his family through overseas treatment and travels while the masses die of their ailments in poorly equipped hospitals, and he goes about in several presidential jets while the majority are exposed to horrible roads and planes that simply drop from the skies. Even while poverty and unemployment has increased by more than 40 percent under his weak and dubious leadership, Jonathan procured more human and material resources to meet his selfish needs at Aso Rock. The boy who never wore shoes to school is determined to live it up this time. His transformation agenda has remained focused on self aggrandizement and personal pleasures. He has been spending from the collective purse to transform his own life and to live well.

The average Nigerian is worse off since Jonathan came to town. One of the first major acts of Jonathan after he was sworn in was to increase the prices of petroleum products. It took the relentless efforts of the masses and the civil society to fight and demand a reduction in the price tag the new Pharaoh put on a litre of petrol and kerosine! He said he would no longer provide straw for the masses but the people must still deliver the amount of output they have been allocated! He even said he planned to increase the prices of petroleum product in 2012, but the cries and threats of leaders of thoughts, organized labour and the media has so far held the hands of the Pharaoh back. The increases in the prices of petroleum products and the looting of the treasury were key pillars of the transformation agenda of Jonathan, off course with the help of the Queen of Sheba at the petroleum ministry. Nigeria is witnessing the monumental failure of an appointed minister who is kept in office for the great wonders of her inabilities, inadequacies, failures and indiscretions. With Jonathan in Aso Rock Oronto Douglas can retain his room at the Hilton Hotel in Abuja and continue to corner the juicy contracts and businesses of government for his master. Oronto Douglas is one of the major enforcers of the transformation agenda, an agenda that constantly impoverish the masses and leave millions of our youths jobless and hopeless. The Jonathan transformation agenda is being played out through endless requests for more billions of naira to keep Aso Rock going and oiled while no extra budgetary request is made for health care (when our teaching hospitals are no better than drop-the-dead-off zone), education (with over 60% failure rate in WAEC), and security has been left to Boko Haram and kidnappers to manage. Some said Jonathan was slow, but we make bold to say that he is slow but yet very fast, furious and purposeful when his personal and family needs are involved; he is only slow when the needs of our people are at stake!

It will be in the personal interest and well being of Goodluck Jonathan to forget the idea of contesting for the 2015 presidential elections. He is not only bereft of ideas and devoid of commitment to the people, he is also in personal danger of exposing himself to people who will throw stones at him, the very same stones he encouraged should be hauled at the former governor of Bayelsa State, his home state some months ago. For a man who lack the capacity to be transparent, forthright and selfless, the agenda of Jonathan to remain in Aso Rock for another four years despite regrettable failures and avoidable pitfalls just shows how pathetic and hopeless the man is; he has lost the battle with dignity and decency and is determined to hold on seamlessly for the benefits and plunder of office only.

When Jonathan recently said that corruption is not the problem setting the nation back you know immediately that the man has only been paying lip service to the virus that is plaguing him and Aso Rock - it became obvious that he is deluded and fooling no one but himself. He met the Chairman of the EFCC recvently to demand that Lamade put the rope around Timpre Sylva and swiftly the EFCC went to work and seized 48 properties from the former governor. This is witch-hunt of one man when it is very obvious that corruption is what describes most action and inaction inside Aso Rock. The oil subsidy beneficiaries and mob are in league with the man in Aso Rock, which is why they will never be brought to book and why billions of naira will continue to disappear and vanish under Jonathan's control. The plague of hunger and disease that is holding Nigerians back are traceable to the greed and corruption chaired by Aso Rock. Funds that otherwise should go to tangible development programs are being systematically stolen through oil subsidy frauds, huge payout to legislooters at the National Assembly and a long list of fat cats holding the unnecessary positions of presidential advisers, special assistants and personal assistants. A corrupt Aso Rock is unable to demand honesty and transparency from the National Assembly and vice versa. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its band of looters are on rampage and that leaves the nation divided into two ranks: the rich lootocrats and the poor, indigent have-nots. A nation rankled by poverty, pervaded by insecurity, exposed to heavily deplorable federal roads, air calamities and wanton greed will never hope for the day the harbinger of its disastrous situation will return to ask for a second term. What second term? Oh, the death wish of a rampaging king-rodent and his co-travelers? Show him and his four-wheeler waka-boys the posters on the walls along the streets and in newspapers - of endless obituary announcements from across the land. The lists are mindboggling indeed; from the young people who went to serve the nation and returned as corpses, the victims of Boko Haram; the various air disaster victims made possible by corruption and greed; the Lagos-Ore-Benin not-so-Expressway who got crushed and decimated; the Abuja-Lokoja Road that constantly claim victims and which issued a life-threatening warning to a governor recently; the church bombing victims of a marauding Boko Haram, who were killed in the sanctuary of faith and who still bear the anguish, pains and torture of a new monster that has defied the speeches and promises of a hopeless man. Has anyone seen the new parking lot extension in Aso Rock? How about the new luxury SUVs and stately vehicles that will serenade the daily commute and sweeten the belly of her majesty-not, Patience Jonathan- have you seen these wonder work of the Whiteman? "My brother na dare car finish," is the likely response I will get from my Wafe friend in Warri. Where is Romeo, the same of Nuru Oniwo?

Let me make it clear to Jonathan that his plot to remain in Aso Rock beyond September 2015 is doomed from the start. It is destined to end in disaster and shame for him and his sidekicks, and he had better see the writing clearly on the wall now and not run into a moving trailer that is the anger and fury of the Nigerian people. His luck has taken him this far. It is certain that that luck cannot take him beyond where he has brought us as a nation; much more is required and needed, and he lacks the essential abilities necessary, the main ingredient being a passion for the people and their well being. If I were Jonathan I will be looking for somewhere safe to hide post-2015 elections and not be plotting to stay in Aso Rock, because Aso Rock will not be his fortress come October 2015. Even the host of heaven are against Jonathan the way things stand now. He may be wise enough to seek the advice from the one true and respectable man of God in the land, the very same he has direct contact to. Jonathan is not in God's plan for Nigeria beyond (perhaps even before) September 2015. He will be overstretching his luck and taking it too far this time, and this may not bode well for him and his bread-and-butter advisers and sidekicks.

An opportunist can never take advantage of an opportunity for the common good of all; he will simply help himself to all the loot he can take for himself and leave the rest to scavengers to feed on, leaving the people to suffer hunger and lack. The Jonathan opportunity was no different from the opportunity that fell to Bola Tinubu in Lagos State. But what was the outcome of that opportunity? Eight years of do-nothing for the people of Lagos State and eight years of massive wealth grab for the opportunist, which is why many just hiss and/or laugh when they hear Tinubu criticize the people in Aso Rock because the pot is blacker and soaked in much more dirt than the kettle. The road to October 2015 will be rough and probably bloody, perhaps more private planes will fall from the skies and more looters and super rich will die in the quest to retain or gain power and grab the treasury. Right now the people know for certain who they do not want in Aso Rock and Goodluck Jonathan tops the list of the unwanted, persona non grata. It is no surprise that people are shredding, removing and/or defacing his posters as reported by several newspapers. Jonathan is not just a failure, he is also very corrupt, dishonest, dubious and a deceptive con man whose file has shocked but not surprised the CIA and other secret service agencies in the Western World.
