REFLECTING GOD'S GLORY

advertisement

eloved in Christ may God make His glory shine upon you this time. God is ready to shine forth His glory in the lives of His children. This year resolve to walk with God because He is ready to walk with you. Our glorious God is willing to reflect His glory in the world through you. Those who can reflect God's glory are those who have given themselves to Christ. As the scripture have stated in Colossians 1: 27: "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory"

Believers are called to show forth the glory of God who lives in us. The light of God is in us and we must radiate the light of God. The life-light in us turns us to be the light of the world. Jesus is the light of the world. We are the light of the world, because Christ lives in us. Take heed to what Christ said in John 8: 12: "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".

To receive Christ is to receive the life-light. It is only the children of God that can reflect God's glory. We cannot reflect the glory of God if we have not given our lives to Jesus Christ. We can only experience God's glory when we have received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. John 1: 12, 13, says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name".

Our calling is to reflect, manifest, exude and radiate the glory of God in our generation. We should not allow the devil and his cohorts to be more active in the world that God created. We are obligated to reflect His glory wherever we find ourselves in order to jettison the works of darkness and enthrone godliness. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5: 16). As God's obedient children, we must reflect God's glory in practical terms on daily basis, both in our personal lifestyles, in our family life, in our offices, in our academic pursuits, in all our business transactions and political spheres.

Brethren, it is quite painful that despite God's glorious provisions for us, we are still groping in the obscurity of misfortune, virtually in all facets of our corporate existence in Nigeria as a country. It is high time we give Christ his due position in our lives and in all our economic and political agenda. As we do these, I see a new people, nation and opportunities rising up for good. May you reflect God's glory now and forevermore.
