NO! TO CATTLE COLONIES, I STAND WITH THE PEOPLE OF BENUE STATE AND VICTIMS OF FULANI HERDSMEN GENOCIDE

even years ago, when I first raised alarm about the activities of Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram in Nigeria, I used words like northernisation and Islamic Agenda, and some people accused me of scare mongering.
After the devastation caused to the Biroms, ethnic minority Christian communities of southern Kaduna, Tivs, Igbos, Yorubas etc., as a result of the terrorist activities of Fulani herdsmen, professors of constitutional law are using the same words to describe the same problem. These words are now entrenched in Nigerian English lexicon.
The news that the Nigerian government wants to established cattle colonies all over Nigeria is another evidence of the single mindedness with which the north is pursing its northernisation agenda.
Cattle colonies is a fraud to siphon public money into private Fulani pockets. Cattle rearing is a private business. The government has no business subsidising private business.
Why should Cattle rearing get special treatment just because the president is Fulani and it is a business dominated by Fulanis and ex army generals?
These colonies will become Fulani enclaves from which armed Fulani militia will launch operation all over Nigeria.
With the recent development, it would be simply madness for communities in Nigeria to allow Fulani enclaves in their midst, where there would be armed herdsmen.
What every Nigerian should understand is that the Fulanis are at war to conquer territories in Nigeria. The killings will not stop until the people also arm and fight back.
From the reaction of president Buhari so far, it would seem that he is keeping his promise to make the blood of 'baboons' flow.
His reaction as president of Nigeria to Fulani herdsmen terrorism mirrors exactly the reaction of Sudanese President Omar Bashir to the Darfur crisis. The interesting thing is that the janjaweed are Fulanis
Buhari's silence, and complicity in this evolving pogrom is ensuring that Nigerians are internally displaced from their ancestral land for migrant Fulanis to take over their land as grazing ground for cattle. I watched picture of Fulani herdsmen cutting harvested yams for cows, while their owner watch helplessly.
No one should believe anything Buhari says about Fulani herdsmen, until he sends in the army for operation Cow dance in Benue State, orders the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of this genocide and the disarming of all Fulani herdsmen, pay adequate compensation to their victims and rehabilitate them in their villages.
Without it. The president of Nigeria the Trustee and members of Myitti Allah cattle breeding Association should be held responsible and accountable for this crime against humanity, which has been committed by Fulani herdsmen over these years.
The Nigeria National Assembly should convene a special session to discuss Fulani herdsmen terrorism. If the speaker and senate president refuse, legislators from middle belt, south East and West Nigeria should boycott the National Assembly.
All Nigerians should boycott cow meat, and no one should bury their dead by killing cows until this matter is resolved.
Any Nigerian who continues to consume cow meat should know that he or she is funding the ethnic cleansing of Nigerian villages.
Nigerians should demand for federal appointment to reflect federal character. Buhari should be take to Court for discrimination, nepotism and aiding ethnic cleansing.
It is now clear why Buhari retired many army officers form the south and replaced them with Northerners, who are Muslims and why he ensured that most important positions are in the hands of the Northerners who are Muslims.
There can be no end to Fulani herdsmen terrorism as long as a Fulani is president and Northerners who are Muslims dominate the government, army, police, customs and judiciary. Buhari has killed trust in Nigeria by his sectarian attitude and mindset. He has put a knife to the thing that hold Nigeria together as a country.
Therefore, with intimidated governors who are prevailed upon to misinform their people about the intentions of the north, barring an uprising, Buhari will impose Fulani colonies all over Nigeria, from where Fulani militia will continue the ethnic cleansing to intimidate, dominate and occupy.
At a time Buhari is excluding Igbo region from rail infrastructure, he is extending railway line to Niger Republic, where his kinsmen are.
Nigerians need to stand up against forces of feudalism and work together to enthroned a free, equal, tolerant and civil society under the law, where all are free to follow any religion.
Therefor, the task before Nigeria include:
Reform police, army and civil service to reflect the federal character and make them to serve the nation and not the government in power.
The National Assembly should pass appropriate legislations to strengthen independence and accountability of national institutions, like the army and police. They should also legislate against a President ethnic cleansing of national institutions. No president in a democracy should have the power to do what Buhari is doing.
In addition, these institutions should be made meritocratic organisations, where progression and seniority is not dependent on years of service, ethnicity and religion, but on performance and competence.
Give life to the independent public service and , police service commissions, which would investigate complaints against police officers, soldiers and civil servants and issue punitive sanctions.
Ensure that such bodies are not headed by retired policeman or army officers , but independent minded people, who would uphold the rule of law.
Make it easy to prosecute corrupt politicians by removing immunity from prosecution. The attempt to prosecute Saraki, the senate president has revealed how deep corruption has permeated into the Nigerian polity and perverse, the values that guide politicians.
Set up public judicial commission of inquiry into corruption in Nigeria from 1979, Fulani herdsmen terrorism and Boko Haram.
Only a judicial inquiry into Fulani herdsmen terrorism will uncover the real cause, identify those behind them and bring peace. This well expose the different ways corruption is practised in Nigeria so that appropriate measures can be put in place to control it.
Ensure education for all children until the age of 18. Education must remain a right in Nigeria so that those with ability to study and learn can have the opportunity. Without securing Nigeria's intellectual assets and having effective way to harness and nurture them, Nigeria is doomed.
Devolve education, Health land and natural resources to the regions through restructure which will deliver a new constitution written by the people and for the people.
Nigerians must demand equal representation and national character in government. The domination of the government by people from one ethnic group or region is dangerous and must now be confronted.
The implication and consequences of the northernisation and Islamisation of Nigeria being carried out by Buhari, which have left the country's security apparatus and judicial system in the hands of northern Muslims is very dangerous for the South and Northern Christians. It threatens the unity, peaceful coexistence and continuing existence of Nigeria as a country.
The above listed measures will go a long way to putting Nigeria on the road to development and peaceful coexistence.
The north do not have a greater stake in Nigeria than all. The south must give up fear and cowardice and stand shoulder to shoulder with the north and demand that it plays by the same rules or leave the the country.
At the moment, the Nigerian president is a dictator and has corrupting powers of patronage which he is abusing.
Buhari is using the power of his office to practice nepotism and transfer assets, power and wealth to the north to ensure its domination of Nigeria.
Nigeria needs a new future which must have restructure and reforms at its centre. This will create a country, where ethnicity and religion is irrelevant and every Nigerian equal under the law. Enough is enough.
