SULEMAN: ACTS OF AN APOSTLE

he accusation and counter-accusation between Mr Johnson Suleman and Ms Stephanie Otobo is complex and confusing. It is marked by repeated turns and bends, so one does not know who to believe - anymore.

And for the fact that one does not know who between the two is telling the truth and nothing but the truth is something to worry about considering the status of Mr Suleman.

Mr Johnson Suleman who is the senior pastor at Omega Fire Ministries based in Nigeria goes by the appellation: Apostle. Ms Stephanie Otobo says she's a singer, a Nigerian based in Canada who has since been given a trade name: prostitute - most especially by Mr Suleman's church members.

Ms Otobo insists she had sex with Mr Suleman. Addressing his church members, the latter replies saying there is some pepper he cannot touch in the market, therefore, no shaking.

Now it seems to me that many Nigerians do not know the duties of an apostle. Anyone who understands the calling of an apostle will not join the bandwagon criticising the Omega Fire Senior man. In any way, he is doing his calling. Hallelujah

Are you following me? An apostle has a call and it becomes hellish if an apostle deviates from his or her calling.

Interestingly it appears the only ones who understand this critical role of an apostle is the Omega Fire congregation. And they have been defending their man - by faith. Yeah, in any circumstance you must be loyal to your main man. You must be able to take the bullet for your senior pastor.

What am I saying?

One of the major calls of an apostle is to convert and test the convert. Hallelujah

Perhaps Mr Suleman met Ms Otobo in one of his crusades. As an apostle, he asked the sister to confess her sins in which the sister did.

And the story goes even further.

Mind you, the bible says the sinner should be converted - gently.

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently..." - Galatians 6:1

An apostle is privileged to use every, and different methods - to win souls. As long as it is done with the gentility of a tiger there should be no qualm. Hallelujah

Suleman, during one of his businesses of converting met Otobo who happens to be a "cheap stripper" in Canada. Though there are many prostitutes in Nigeria, the Canada one is God's chosen just like in Hosea 1:2 "The LORD said to Hosea, 'Go, take to yourself a wife of whoredom and have children of whoredom."

Now when Suleman finished the phase one of his duties he must complete it with the final phase which is testing. Testing is very important because, without it, you will never know exactly whether the convert has passed or still the same. An apostle needs to know if the convert is still sucking milk or has moved to eating bone - solid food

An apostle winning soul is not complete without testing the convert. Period

Otobo revealed that Suleman gave her a lot of cash apart from the ones he sent to her bank account. Perhaps the Omega Fire man is just being generous. 'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.' Matthew 25:45

So the brouhaha - the loud confused noise from many sources - is in itself confusing. After all, the Omega Fire man must complete the job he had started. He must test his convert. He must ascertain the truth of the matter. He must be sure that he has done a good job of converting a Canadian prostitute, a stripper into his Omega Fire church. The apostle must be cork sure that the sinner is now anew.

So whatever is the affair between them is the job of testing. This is the situation.

And the sister apparently failed the test of an apostle who was trying to ascertain her spiritual level.

As a result of accusation and counter-accusation, the exercise of converting has to start all over again because it seems both the sister and the apostle have betrayed the word.

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted"

Shout Hallelujah
