A NEW NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE, DREAM IT! (POEM)

laid still in my bed
Ensconced in my cocoon.
In the dead of the night,
I felt nostalgic of a home
As homie, unaware of my firmament!
Suddenly, a deep slumber enviloped me.
I started dreaming of a better Nigeria.

I saw a new Nigeria
Where hard work is rewarded.
Where rule of law is entrenched!
A nation where fairness, equity,
And justice are norms!
Where politics is played fairly.

I saw a new Nigeria where
Every road is tarred
And not famished.
Where generators are abominable
Except for the handymen.
And electricity becomes
Uninterrupted and sacrosanct!

I saw a young transformational leaders
Bringing political succour
To fatherland.
I dwell in a country that lacks
Political Opportunists;
Grotesque political vampires Vanish from Nigeria!

I saw a new Nigeria positively
Placed on the world map,
Where everyone is mesmerizing
In the euphoria of tranquility.
Unemployed will be gainfully Employed.

I saw academicians jostling
In the euphoria of inventions
In all disciplines.
I saw happiness in the face
Of Everyone Like Yankees.
I saw a truly happiest People
On the face of The Earth.

I saw new Nigerian dwellers
In fantasyland?
I saw a new Nigerians not being
The Prisoners of the past,
But optimists of a brighter future.
I tried to fathom and translate
My Dreams.

NAY!!! I woke up only to realize
Change is still morphing from
Realm of reality.
Can we saunter collectively
From Nigerian Dystopia to Utopia?
