RWANDA IS A LIFE TO ITSELF (POEM)

ragedy has morphed
Rwanda to near Utopia.
A nation once ensconced
In the ruins of a genocidal war.

Rwanda is a thousand hills.
800 thousand commoners
Paid the supreme price
of a senseless and internecine war.
Rwanda has reinvented herself,
With Kigali as a city of hope.

Kigali, a city nestled
At the egde of the hills;
A city smooching her presence
To repair her tragic past.

Kigali is a life to itself.
A life embellished with the
Beauty of her present.
Rwanda covers her nostalgic
Tragedy of the past with
Optimism of the future.

Presently, Rwanda is
Using her ugly past,
To enhance her seemingly
unclouded future
With great expectations!
Nigeria, a vicious victim
of herself!
Wither the giant of Africa?
Now, at the back burner!

Lives have come alive
again in Rwanda with
a bright future ahead.
Rwanda is morphing
from darkness into a
shining dawn.
