NIGERIA: A NATION IN NEED OF A LEADER

"Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime" -Aristotle.

"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living" - Gail Sheehy.

THE CHANGE IS NOW!

he seed that had been sown by elements of evil extraction in Nigeria had been producing fruits and the fruits have been poisonous ones. Nigeria as a nation is on the verge of collapse. I am not a prophet but I had made several predictions in my past commentaries about a deadly impending catastrophic situation that is coming upon the nation unless there is a change. When an entire population is thrown into confusion by a group of egocentric political demagogues, the result will be chaos, and anarchy. In the past 5 years 70 percent of Nigerians had been thrown into the valley of darkness and hopelessness and majority of them have died. They died out of social-economic strangulation caused by the leaders who had maneuvered their ways into the pinnacle of the nation's political echelon. The victims of this political and economic victimization are the ordinary men and women, boys, girls, widows, orphans and children. Nigeria is witnessing an unprecedented level of unrest in history. All the kidnappings, armed robbery, ritual murders, and Boko haram that have held the nation hostage are as a result of a government devoid of moral responsibility, and infested with some hardened criminally minded individuals in the country. Nigeria is in desperate need of a savior. Who will deliver the people from this scourge of political banditry? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Are there any more compatriots who are ready to clean up the nation and put their lives on the line?

The nation is plagued by leaders who have created terror in the land and obsessed with innocent blood through occultism to gain political powers. The level of poverty, hunger, and human degradation in Nigeria has reached a geometric proportion. The reckless attitude of the leaders and their unrestrained desire to wreck the nation must be addressed as a matter of urgency. With the federal government's inability to rescue the Chibok girls and the incessant killing of Nigerians by criminals across the nation, it is absolutely clear that the government of Goodluck Jonathan does not have the capability within its military framework to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians. Billions of dollars that had been budgeted for ammunitions and intelligent equipment have disappeared into the hands of public officials. The Nigerian army under current government has demonstrated that they do not have the capability to protect the nation against any external aggression. Years of instituted corruption and economic genocide have rendered the Nigerian Police Force and the Military institution completely immobilized. It is a known fact and of course it is crystal clear to Nigerians that the government of Goodluck Jonathan has not produced any democratic dividend in the nation. Nigeria is overwhelmed by serious wave of criminal activities as a result of poverty. The leaders are filling up their bank accounts with millions and billions of monies stolen from the nation while 70 percent of the general population lives in abject poverty. The unemployment rate is growing astronomically. The judiciary has joined in the bandwagon to wreck the nation alongside with criminals for failing to dispense justice. The government of Goodluck Jonathan has created dissension among ethnic and religious groups causing fragility to national unity. Nigeria is now torn apart and divided along tribal lines. Goodluck Jonathan has used his office to brainwash the south ethnic group by camouflaging himself as a Christian in pursuit of his sinister political agendas. Goodluck Jonathan has given an Official license to a cross section of tribal dissidents in the south south to destabilize the nation's economy by way of oil and gas bunkering, theft, and squandering of the nation's resources. The country is riddled by corruption and the president by the name Goodluck Jonathan is in complacent with the norm. As Boko Haram and kidnappers continue to mount their weapons of arsenal on the innocent people of Nigeria, the president and his government has continued to mount empty promises of reprisal giving Nigerians utopian hope. This is the result when wrong leaders are elected to handle the affairs of the nation. Leaders whose primary motives are to manipulate, defraud, embezzle and stow them away in foreign countries.

It is most unfortunate that Nigeria that was once an enviable country among the comity of nations has become problematic in the continent of Africa ravaged by systemic corruption and chaired by agents of darkness. Nigerians must understand that this is not a religious war but a war against the forces of darkness, against principalities and powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The nation is held hostage by demonic entities that have transformed into human elements to kill maim, and destroy. The victims of these faceless agents of Lucifer transcend ethnic and religious affiliations. They are Christians, Muslims, Pagans, Atheist, and ordinary men, women, and children. Again the reason this evil has come to succeed and thrive beyond imagination is simply because the leaders have created an unimaginable level of hardship and poverty in the land. I recently read on the news about a young man in Bornu state who was given 2000 naira by a Boko haram member to bomb as many houses as he can in his village. https://odili.net/news/source/2014/may/29/316.html

The young man who was obviously unemployed accepted the offer and immediately embarked on the sinister act. He had succeeded in burning down three houses before he was apprehended by the village vigilantes. I believe that majority of those who have enlisted themselves in this satanic group called Boko Haram are the unemployed Nigerians. These are the young men and women who out of desperation have joined various criminal organizations in the country. I believe all Nigerians including the president know that the nation is currently in the wrong direction. "Through pride we are ever deceiving ourselves. But deep down below the surface of the average conscience a still, small voice says to us, something is out of tune" - C.G. Jung . "The outcome of this election will determine the future of Nigeria.

I have noticed that there are individuals who have vowed to defend, protect, and promote violence, injustice and wickedness against the helpless citizens of Nigeria in this coming election. They are collection of vile, mean, cruel, and callous Nigerians who are working as agents in collaboration with some corrupt leaders to wreck the nation. They are group of mindless political elements without rational objectives in their quest for public offices. They are group of egocentric political debauchers who are bent on strangulating the nation and dispossessing the unfortunate masses of their means of lively hood (oil resources) for their financial gratification. The nation must rise up against these public enemies. The carriers and promoters of these evil agendas against the poor people of Nigeria must be identified and exposed by any means necessary. The nation must rise above religious and political treachery. The spirit of the poor masses both living and the dead must answer to the call of national patriotism to rescue the nation of Nigeria from these greedy, intractable, covetous and corrupt mindless individuals. The poor masses must rise up against economic injustice, religious battery and persecution, and demand political correctness. The only way that, that can be done is by electoral vote and so it is my advice that in this coming election the president and his group of political plutocrat and stratocrat must not be given any second chance haven demonstrated an act of perfidy in their various offices. For plunging the nation into a state of economic imbroglio, it is of paramount importance that the president must be dispelled from the office of presidency without any hesitation by popular vote. He has betrayed the vote of confidence imposed on him by the electorate.

"Progress is a nice word. But change is its motivator. And change has its enemies."-Robert Kennedy. The time has come for that change. The lord God has rent the kingdom of Nigeria from the hands of Goodluck Ebelle Jonathan and has given it to Mohammadu Buhari. Not only because he has created hopelessness and despair in the land, he is perambulating from witches and wizards to the house of the Lord God almighty. I personally appeal to fellow Nigerians especially those who are well informed to help re-educate and lecture friends and families on the need to excavate Jonathan and his political bandit from the nation's offices. This is the time for all Nigerians to work together with collective sense of unity to stamp out Jonathan's insidious religious and political treachery. "Change will not come if we wait for some other persons or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek"-Barack Obama. This statement was made by Obama in 2008 when the economy of United States was at a standstill but today after barely 7 years in office the economy has rebound and the nation has once again becomes one of the biggest world economies.

Nigeria as a nation is not strange to the rest of the world. It is a country well known as the giant of Africa because of its population which is now 177 million. Nigeria is blessed with abundance of natural resources. The nation is the 3rd among the largest oil producing countries in Africa. Apart from the abundant oil deposit, there are other natural mineral deposits in different parts of Nigeria. To have a comprehensive look at Nigeria's natural resources please click on this link. https://www.nairaland.com/724526/nigerian-states-natural-resources.

In spite of all the abundant riches nature has bestowed on the nation, the standard of living in Nigeria is still considered one of the poorest in the world. Now enough is enough, the time is longed overdue for a change. I am optimistic that Mohammadu Buhari is going to win. In the event of Mohammadu Buhari been sworn into the office this year, 2015, the first duty must be to clean up all the mess and begin a treatment on the pain Jonathan has caused Nigerians. The judiciary must be re-established to serve the purpose by making Nigeria a nation governed by the rule of law because as it is now, the judiciary is at its lowest level of moral degradation. Impunity and lawlessness have become the bedrock of the society. All cases involving politicians that had been indicted for stealing billions since 1999 must be re-opened. Every case must be dealt with decisively and Nigerians must see result. If there has to be peace in Nigeria, the problem of corruption must be seriously addressed. Laws must be amended to include Capital punishment for any public official found culpable of financial crimes. Goodluck Jonathan and his so called father, Badamasi Babangida along with their boys must be indicted and prosecuted for their complicity in financial recklessness against the nation. Nigeria is a great country. A beautiful nation blessed with abundant human and natural resources. I remembered in 1977, when "FESTAC" was hosted in Nigeria by the Nigerian government, at the end of the show a lot of migrants from different parts of Africa refused to return back to their respective countries. It was a moment of might and show of affluence in both culture and material wealth in Nigeria. That pride and dignity must be returned back to our great nation. Nigeria must overcome all her challenges and all the forces of darkness militating against the nation must be dislodged and dispatched with prayers and by any means necessary.
