PROPHETIC WORD FOR 2013

GLOBAL

he end of the global economic problem is not yet in sight. Some European countries will witness labor unrest and protest. But we should expect more general protest from countries in South America and Latin America. The economy of the United States will still face serious problem because the solution to fix it is not in the books. It needs divine solution. But China will gain dominance in International politics and global economy.

Year 2013 is not a particularly good year for presidents and head of state (both former and incumbent) Some will die of strange diseases while some will be humiliated out of office either electorally or forcefully.

Terrorism will be on the increase. It will continue to gain foothold in Africa while the countries in the Middle East will remain the hot bed of terrorism. The United States and Russia should not sleep because of the threat of Homeland terrorism. People will still be subjected to stringent screening in most international airports. The United States will leave Afghanistan in shame and frustration anytime they are ready to leave. The interest of the United States worldwide will be under threat from the Islamic fundamentalists around the world.

AFRICA

Many African countries will witness political instability occasioned by terrorism and corruption. Because of greed and corruption, some Leaders whose countries just discovered oil will tow the path of Nigeria. The oil blessing will now turn to a curse. Niger, Ghana and Uganda should watch it. Corruption will find its way back to Ghana unless the political leaders are well determined to fight it. Peaceful elections in most African countries will gradually become rare. Liberia and Ethiopia will attract unprecedented direct foreign investment in 2013.

NIGERIA

In my prayer, I asked God to give me a message for my country, Nigeria for the year 2013 and beyond. Throughout the period, I have been studying the book of Prophet Ezekiel. Then the Lord said I have given you enough messages in the 34th chapter of the book of Prophet Ezekiel. I quickly picked up my bible again to the 34th chapter of the book of Prophet Ezekiel. After reading it slowly and prayerfully, I began to meditate upon it. Then I discover the message that God has for Nigeria

This is the message. This message is not my mine. It is God message that is reechoed through the mouth of Prophet Ezekiel to President Goodluck Jonathan. My role in all this is that of a courier. The only impute I have here are the suggestions I proffered which I think can avert the impending judgment of God. So if after the message has been delivered and you decide to call me a prophet of doom, it won’t bother me at all.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, thus says the Lord to the shepherds: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak, you have not strengthened, nor have you heal those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them…Thus says the Lord God: Behold I am against the shepherds, and I will require my flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver my flock their mouths that they may no longer be food for them. (Ezekiel 34:1-10)

President Goodluck Jonathan should see the shepherds in the above prophesy as himself and other politicians leading the country. He should also replace Israel with Nigeria and the flock and the sheep with the poor Nigerians.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, prophesy against the ruling class of Nigeria, prophesy and say to them, thus says the Lord to the ruling class: Woe to the ruling class of Nigeria who feed themselves! Should not the rulers take care of the poor Nigerians? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the poor Nigerians. The weak, you have not strengthened, nor have you heal those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them… Thus says the Lord God: Behold I am against the ruling class, and I will require my people, the poor Nigerians at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the people, and the rulers shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver my people, the poor Nigerians from their mouths that they may no longer be food for them. (Ezekiel 34:1-10)

God said He is against the ruling class of Nigeria and that this is the time to deliver His people from the oppressive clutch of the ruling class. It is a great calamity for God to be against someone.

Apart from this, God says He is ready to judge the rich Nigerians that make life very miserable for the ordinary Nigerians. Ezekiel accused them as follows:

Is it too little for you to have eaten up the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture and to have drunk of the clear waters that you must foul the residue with your feet? And as for my flock, they eat what you have trampled with your feet, and they drink what you have fouled with your feet. Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them: Behold, I myself will judge between the fat and the lean sheep. Because you have pushed with side and shoulder, and butted all the weak ones with your horns, and scattered them abroad, therefore I will save my flock and they shall no longer be a pray; and I will judge between sheep and sheep. (Ezekiel 34:18-22)

What is happening in Nigeria today is worse than the picture that Ezekiel painted about the situation in Israel during his time. What is happening now is absolute corruption and wicked oppression. God says that He will deliver His people. This deliverance will take the shape of uprising and revolution. It will not be a religious and ethnic uprising. It will be purely for economic and survival reason. The surge in kidnappings and abductions is the opening face of the impending class war between the rich and the poor. As a matter of fact, the uprising has started, but it has not become a mass uprising. However, it is gathering momentum. God says that He is against the ruling political leaders in Nigeria and that He will deliver His people from their hand

A wrong political move from the government that will have serious economic implication on the people is all that is needed to start this uprising. The president should urgently embark on a social security program for all the unemployed citizens of Nigeria. Rather than laying emphasis on military security, the President should now pay serious attention to social security and welfare programs. The amnesty program should be modified and replicated in all the states of the federation rather than limiting it to the Niger Delta area alone. Even the United States that is the number one capitalist country in the world does not joke with social security and welfare programs.

All the living past rulers should also be concern about Nigeria now. They contributed to the problem in one way or the other. If they fold their hands and allow this uprising to happen, they will be swept away by it. They should rally round the president in whatever way they can. They are not helping President Jonathan. They are helping to save their own heads.

The only way out to avert this calamity is for the President to urgently do what Nehemiah did when his people cried out to him against the corruption and oppression of the ruling elites. Hear him, “And I became very angry when I heard their outcry and these words. After serious thought, I rebuked the nobles and rulers, and said to them each of you is exacting usury from his brother. So I called a great assembly against them.” (Nehemiah 5:6-7) The President must right away begin to expose the corrupt officials stealing under him and vent his anger on them.

Finally, President Jonathan must adopt and enforce the Nehemiah system of governance in Nigeria in order to avert the impending tragedy. His system of governance is described in his remark in the passage below.

Moreover, from the time that I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year until the thirty-second year of King Artaxerxes, twelve years, neither I nor my brothers ate the governor’s provisions. But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God. Indeed, I also continued the work on this wall, and we did not buy any land. All my servants were gathered there for the work.

And at my table were one hundred and fifty Jews and rulers, besides those who came to us from the nations around us. Now that which was prepared daily was one ox and six choice sheep. Also fowl were prepared for me, and once every ten days an abundance of all kinds of wine. Yet in spite of this I did not demand the governor’s provisions, because the bondage was heavy on this people.

Remember me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people. (Nehemiah 5:14-19)

CHRISTENDOM

In Christendom, 2013 is a year of circumcision of the heart. This is a spiritual heart transplant. The heart of stone will be removed and the heart of flesh will be planted. (Ezekiel 36:26-27) Some will be forced to the circumcision table while some will come voluntarily. This is a spiritual surgery that will involve the use of sharp surgical knife. Many habits will be cut off. Many relations and friends will also be cut off. Christians that have not undergone this spiritual heart transplant will cry this year because they will be living outside God’s covenant because the circumcision is the only assess to the covenant.
